"Peter I'm scared." Seven year old Adeline whimpered holding tightly onto the brown haired boy. Peter looked down at his little sister cooing slightly, "You have nothing to worry about. You're gonna be amazing and you will blow everyone away!"

"But there's so many people out there and I wish mommy and daddy were here." she said sadly. "I wish that they could be here too, but they will be so proud of you and everything you've achieved." he said gently stroking her hair trying not to mess up her hairstyle. "But let me give you a little advice; when you go out there just ignore everyone in the audience. Just imagine mom and dad sitting in those seats cheering you on- because they are. They always have and they always will be watching over us so dance for them baby, no one else. I love you Addy."

And from that day forward every time Adeline Parker dances on the stage she imagines her parents watching over her- cheering her on from the audience.

"I love you too Peter."

Adeline woke up with a gasp not noticing the tears running down her cheeks. Huh- what the PETER! Adeline thought before running into his room only to see him fast asleep with tear stains down his face. Immediately Adeline felt guilty. I can't believe I said that to him. Oh my God what have I done?

Slowly, Adeline walked forward towards his bed before gently sitting down, she reached forward to touch his hair but quickly retracted her hand. "Oh Peter where did it all go wrong?" she quietly whispered to him careful not to wake him up. "It seems like I can't do anything right- I'm starting to think I'm cursed or something," she quietly laughed "Anyways I'm so so sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me lately. I just got angry and I snapped. You were just trying to help. I've caused you and Aunt May so much pain, I don't deserve you two. I do love you Peter more than you'll ever know and I always will."

Little did she know that Peter has been listening to every word she spoke, tearing up the more she said, but still gave her no clue that he was awake. She lent down, kissed his forehead and went to leave- but Peter grabbed onto her and pulled her into her chest indicating that he wanted her to stay with him.

Adeline tried to escape but that only made him tighten his arms around her. She sighed but gave up fighting deciding just to fall asleep in his arms.

"I love you too Adeline."

"JOSHH!" Adeline screamed out in surprise as he pretended to drop her while they were practicing a lift.

It was now Saturday morning and a lot had happened in the past week but it was all worth it. Josh had became friends with the gang again although Noah is still a bit cautious. Adeline and Peter has made up for good this time; they were finally as close as they used to be although now I'm sure both have no more tears left to cry. Adeline had started being monitored by Bruce and Tony and was already starting to feel in control again even though she knew to would be a bit of a bumpy road- in the end it would be worth it.

But also within the past week Adeline and Josh had gotten close- like joined at the hip close. They would walk to school from dance together every morning, they would sit together at break and lunch, they would try to sit near each other in every class they had together and they would walk to dance from school together. Needless to say Noah was jealous. He should of been the one spending that time with Addy not Josh of all people. But he tried not to show it to anyone and brushed it off.

So Josh and Adeline stood in Studio C going over their duet as they will be preforming it tomorrow at the competition along with Adeline's group dance and solo. Let's just say Adeline had a lot to remember.

After about a hour or two of practice they were certain their duet was ready for tomorrow so they sat and had a water break.

"Ok it's 8:45pm now so shall we leave at 9pm?" Josh asked. "You can but I have to stay and go over my solo."

"Don't worry I can help you. After all you do need an expert to help you." Josh said arrogantly brushing his shoulders. Adeline scoffed "You wish. But thanks I appreciate it. Sooooo anyway how's it going with Alex?" Adeline smirked nudging his arm teasingly.

"He's fine. We have maths together and we were talking all the way through and then he walked me to my next class and ugh I love him so much, he's such a gentleman," he gushed excitingly before dimming down slightly "But I don't know what to do. I'm so scared Adeline."

"Look Josh I'm going to do everything I can do to help you too, and don't worry I'll fight whoever has a problem with you- which is going to be no one. Except maybe Brad but he's just a dick anyway let's quickly get this done so I can go home and sleep." Adeline said sighing dreamily at the end of her sentence.

"Hello?" Adeline called walking into her apartment. "In here." came the distant shout of Aunt May.

"Where's Peter?" Adeline asked sitting down next to May. "Oh he said something about him having a project with Ned he to do." she replied. Adeline nodded knowing he was probably doing something Spider-Man related instead. "Anyway honey I'm glad I caught you, I wanted to speak with you." May said.

"Oh go on." Adeline acted cool, but on the inside she was worrying, going through all the bad things she had done since she was born.

"It's just I wanted to say sorry. I know that I'm out at work a lot so I don't get to see you and Peter that much but I still want you to know that I love you both."

"Auntie it's fine, honestly. You have to work to provide for us and we don't blame you at all. It's what has to be done."

"What did I do to deserve such a great girl like you?" Aunt May asked running her fingers through Adeline's hair. "Now go to sleep it's late and you have to be up early for that competition for tomorrow okay?" she said leaning over and kissing her forehead. Adeline nodded standing up "Night May. I love you." "Goodnight Addy. I love you too."

Slowly but surely Adeline felt that she finally had her life together; and it was going great.
