"YOU TWO NEED TO COORDINATE!" Chris, another dance teacher, shouted at Adeline and Josh as they tried to practise their duet. Whenever Josh lifted Adeline it would be good until Adeline started to worry and doubt her trust in him lifting her in the air and think that he will drop her. This would happen until she asked to be put back down on the safe floor away from danger. Unlucky for them this duet had a lot of lifts. "Okay you know what just stop. Now come here both of you." he called to the teens. "For this duet to work you need to trust each other and be able to rely on one another which just isn't happening here." Chris explained to the dancers.
"So now I'm going to leave and you two can't leave this room until you can trust each other okay. Now goodbye see you soon." he said walking out closing the door behind him.
Both Adeline and Josh looked at each other and groaned, "I can't believe I'm stuck in this room especially with you." Josh said looking and Adeline. "Feelings mutual dude." Adeline replied back.
They glared at each other before retreating to opposite ends of the room to go over the duet separately. God knows they hate each other but the only thing they hated more than each other was loosing at competitions.
It was like that for about 15 minutes until Josh broke the silence calling out "You need to straighten your leg when you go up on arabesque also your face is just all wrong, it's a love story you need to be happy and also like your in pain at the same time."
Adeline looked down at her form before correcting herself "Thanks." she said smiling slightly at him. He rolled his eyes "I didn't do it for you. We can't win if you're off being a mess."
That was it. That was the last straw. Adeline was fed up with Josh Jeon and his crappy attitude all the time. Sure she said stuff too but only when provoked. But she wanted- no needed to know the reason behind it all. All the years of teasing and bullying and the sudden change in attitude towards the gang.
"Okay I've had enough with you what is your problem! Why do you hate the gang and I so much? What did we ever do to you?"
Josh scoffed "I just realised I don't want to hang around with a bunch of losers."
"BULLSHIT! We were your best friends. You came to us whenever your parents were pushing you too much. And when you felt bad. And we bought you you're favourite chocolate; Snickers whenever you were in a bad mood. Then one day you just suddenly decided that you didn't want to be our friend anymore. Do you know how much that hurt? All four of us were devastated and Alex cried for weeks!" Adeline shouted at him. "I just want to know the reason why." she whispered.
"Shut up. SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP! Yes you were my best friends. WERE. I have new friends now I don't need you and I certainly don't need to tell you why I left. And by the way my favourite chocolate isn't even snickers anymore it's Hershey's!"
Adeline stepped back in shock at being shouted at like that, "Wow you really are a giant dickhead." she muttered before walking over to the wall and sitting against it, hugging her knees close to her chest and resting her head on them. A few minutes later she heard Josh sigh before he slid down the wall and sat down next to her.
"It wasn't any of you guys fault that I left it was my own. But if I tell you you have to promise not to tell anyone, especially that person." Josh said gently almost like he was afraid. Adeline nodded "Of course."
Josh leaned in and whispered words that Adeline could never of imagined of. Josh stood up and offered his hand to her pulling her up. "I'm really sorry about everything I was just scared. Alright now we can finish the dance properly." And all Adeline could do was nod.
Half way through the duet dance Adeline slowly started smiling and boy it was big. Josh Jeon liked Alexander Richardson. And Adeline would do everything in her power to get them together.

"Okay looks like you're all good here Ads." Bruce said after checking her blood pressure which was a bit low put nothing to be too concerned about. "Thank you so much Bruce." Adeline said hopping off the lab counter she was sat on. "It's nothing I'm happy to help. I think I just heard the team returning with dinner so come on."
"Adelineeeeee!" Clint shouted running up to her and hugging her. Adeline laughed hugging him back, "Hey Clint." After hugging everybody they all went to the dining room to have dinner when a hand pulled her back and pulled her into a tight hug. "I really missed you Addy." Loki said holding her against his chest. "I missed you too Lo."
"Now Ad a little birdie told me you have a competition this weekend. Do you want us to come?" Tony said picking up some noodles.
Adeline looked up in shock "NO!" she exclaimed before roughly clearing her throat "I mean no I'm sure you're all busy and it's fine I have Noah, Riele and Alex going so I'll be fine." she replied calmer this time. The Avengers all looked at each other with a mischievous look. Oh yeah we are definitely going this weekend Tony thought.
Once dinner was over Steve stood up "Come on Adeline, Peter it's late and you two have school tomorrow I'll drive you home."
"Thanks Steve." the siblings chorused standing up after saying goodbye to everyone.
As soon as Adeline got home she went straight to bed plotting ways she could get Alex and Josh together without exposing both of them.
But little did she know this week would be a rollercoaster of emotions for the gang.
