Chapter 30

Aaliyah POV
Only thing I heard was "if I can't have you no one can" and a gun going off. I felt Dave hurry up and turn us around then we fell on the ground. Dave was hit. I quickly grabbed his gun from out his side and fired shots in Keisha while shooter shot Larry and Karin. The boys was moving Dave to the van and some ran upstairs to get Kairi. On the way to the hospital shooter called the clean up crew to clean up the mess. A couple of the boys stayed to make sure they cleaned up everything. The whole way to the hospital Dave was just looking at me and Kai. I knew he was gone be alright. "Man prince speed tf up yo" shooter yelled applying pressure to stop the bleeding. We made it to the hospital and shooter and king carried Dave inside. They took him back to perform surgery to get the bullet out.
"Hey prince could you go to my house and get my baby her food, some clothes, a rag and her wash soap please. I'll give you some money when I get back home" I said
"No problem. Any particular clothes" he said
"Long sleeve pajamas please." I said. After he left I called up mama Faye and told her we had kairi but Dave got shot. She was on her way along with Dave father. Kairi had woke up and started crying but once she seen it was me she stopped crying and I just hugged my baby. I looked over and Jamie and seen she was in deep thought.
"You okay baby?" I asked her
"Yeah I'm fine just still surprised she switched up on us like that" she said
"Yeah me too. Who would have thought" I said
"How they know each other anyways" she said
"That's something we will never know" I said. After having that conversation with Jamie and talking for a few more minutes. Prince came back with the stuff for my baby. I didn't want to bathe her like this but she still had on clothes from yesterday night. Me and Jamie walked to the bathroom since she didn't want me to go alone. I gave Kai a lil quick wash up and put her clothes on. Once we got back in the waiting room Mama Faye was walking in and she seen us and ran over.
"Is she okay? Is he okay" she said
"She is okay but we still haven't heard anything from Dave" I said sitting down feeding her. My baby would be one in a couple weeks and I didn't have nothing plan.
"Mama you know Kai's 1st birthday coming up would you like to plan it?" I asked
"OHHH YESSS I got sooo many ideas I was going to talk to you about." She said
"Well when Dave get out of here you can come over and show us" I said
"FAMILY OF DAVID BREWSTER" the doctor called we all hopped up and walked towards him he smiled at us
"Well we successfully removed the bullet out of his back he is doing just fine. He is a fighter before he went to sleep he just kept saying was "please bring my wife and daughter in here I need to see them" yall May go back but he is on heavy medication for the pain and he is sleeping and probably won't wake up till the morning. He is in room 746" he said walking off we all walked to his room. When we got in I looked at him and started crying. He had a Iv and a breathing machine in his nose and things that monitor your heart. He was peacefully sleeping. I looked down and kairi was sleep too. I laid her in the bed next to him and she instantly snuggled close to him. We all just sat there watching them sleep in peace
