The car ride to Rae's house was relatively quiet. The air was filled with unspoken tension; suffocating all three passengers. Hoseok had turned on the radio, tunes playing as white noise to the brunette as she stares out the window, a hallow look in her gaze.Taehyung was laid out in the back, sputtering unintelligible words here and there (most being overshadowed by the radios static noise), arm over face to shield his eyes from the traffic lights, and a messy look to his style tonight.
Hoseok glances through the rear view mirror at Taehyung's slumped figure once he had become quiet, then at Rae's dull aura. He purses his lips, looking back at the road. He really wants to say something, but the female had demanded that there would be no talking throughout the ride to her apartment. He agreed at the time, but now sitting in a silent car, driving 25 minutes and not uttering out a single syllable throughout the whole ride--
He honestly feels like he's going to explode. He needs to say something, anything so he won't bust like a bubble. But, he really wants to grant Rae's wish on a quiet car ride. He lets out a frustrated sigh. Anymore of this quietness and he won't be able to handle it. His hands grip tighter around the steering wheel, the knuckles fading to white. Sweat begins to accumulate on the sides of his forehead, quickly wiping the dampness with the back of his hand.
Why is he sweating? It's like 60 something degrees outside.
He bites his bottom lip upon realizing he was about to comment on the weather. It was a small ice breaker, but now wasn't the time. He glances down at his arms, feeling them tremble. He's never gone this long without saying something.
The tires screech in pain as the redhead suddenly slams on the breaks when he realizes he was about to pass up Rae's apartment complex. Rae jerks forward, gasping. Taehyung falls to the ground, groaning upon impact. Everyone stays silent. Too shocked to say anything on what just happened. Hoseok takes ragged deep breathes, relaxing his breathing before looking toward the brunette to see if she was okay.
"What the actual fuck, Hoseok?!" Taehyung snaps, face still smashed against the floor as he curses at the older.
Rae's eyes shift onto Hoseok who has an apologetic expression on his face. "S-Sorry," He stutters out, looking forward again.
Taehyung grunts, arms lifting his chest up as he looks around in complete anger. "Were you trying to kill me?!" He accuses, supporting himself up on the car seats. Hoseok takes a moment to think before shaking his head. An immediate sneer curls Taehyung's upper lip up at his action. "It hurts me that you actually considered it!"
Hoseok rolls his eyes, turning around to bicker with the drunk silver-haired male. "All you ever do is complain! Besides, I drive for a living--you wouldn't have died."
Taehyung's mouth flies open. "Excuse me? Who's the one who's always complaining to me that a "certain somebody" doesn't really like that "Yoonji" is a power bottom." Taehyung retaliates, feeling real good when he sees Hoseok's face pale.
"Shut yo face! You're just jealous." He snaps back.
Taehyung tuts at his allegation, "Me? Jealous of you? Bless your delusional heart."
Hoseok frowns. "--Jealous that I actually get action nowadays." He laughs out at his comeback, turning around to end the conversation.
Taehyung scoffs, shrugging, "I mean, if you're into horseplay-"
"..."
"Listen-"
Before they could continue, their attention is put onto Rae when she unlocks her side and steps out, a bit tired of all the yelling going on in such a small secluded space. She takes a deep breath, air fogging and dispersing into the night. She bends down to thank Hoseok for the ride and closes the door soon after, walking over to her apartment. She glances over her shoulder when she hears a bit more muffled shouting and a car door being opened, Taehyung stupidly falling onto the ground once again. "Son of a bitch, Hoseok!"
