Jeongguk trudges into his art class, pulling open the door with one hand while the other holds his sketchbook; his black back pack hanging over one of his broad shoulders. Monday was never his favorite day of the week; appearance looking rushed and lazy. He's dressed in an oversized gray pullover that looks like he found it on the ground, sniffed tested the clothing, and deemed it 'clean enough to wear'.His hair is in tousles, not even looking like he at least tried to tame it with a brush. Yet somehow, he still manages to look roguishly handsome; gaining the attention of girls who were patiently awaiting for the arrival of him. They blush at the sight of Jeongguk when he stumbles into the art room; black mask on the bottom half of his face to cover his sleepy haze and uncoordinated steps. There's eager greets of 'hi, Jeongguk' or 'hello, Jeongguk' (even some offering their breakfast if he didn't eat anything yet). He doesn't really pay any mind, passing by with a grunt and taking his seat beside Rae who had gotten here an hour ago.
She's occupied with a wooden pallet in her left hand and a paint brush in the other. She's dressed in a black and white long sleeve shirt, a yellow tee on top of that one, skinny black jeans on her legs, yellow high top converse on her feet, and her hair styled with two cute little buns on the top of her head; her skateboard next to her easel.
Rae regards Jeongguk as he slumps into his station, groaning as his joints huff in protest. She smiles cheekily, greeting him. She notes that he's an hour late. He nods in response; tells her he forgot to set his alarm because his phone was getting blown up by texts from Jimin last night.
"What'd you guys even do while we left?" She questions, lowering the items in her hands to her lap as she looks over at Jeongguk.
He lowers his mask and sighs. "I left to go hang with my ex. I don't know what he and Namjoon Hyung did, but at around nine at night he started spamming me."
Rae's brows furrow, "Why didn't you just tell him to stop texting you so you could go to sleep?"
He pouts, "I don't know...he kinda makes me uncomfortable as well--I guess I'm too nice of a guy?"
Rae grunts, "I'll talk to him. Sorry."
"Was he stalking me at the museum?"
Rae doesn't say anything, which sort of gives him the answer to his question. "...Is he...obsessed with me or something?"
Rae can only shrug; again, giving him the answer to his question. "Taehyung bought me a puppy." He looks at her bewildered.
"You guys are dating?"
Oh...
Are they? They never really talked about if Rae was his girlfriend now or if Taehyung was her boyfriend now. That's a very good question that Rae doesn't know how to respond to. Rae held his hand, but both of them were surprised by the action and she ended up letting go because she was unsure of what they considered their relationship was. Friends wouldn't buy an expensive animal for anyone would they? Well, Hoseok bought a lot of designer clothing for her...maybe they do?--rich friends that is. Taehyung did say that he got Yeontan for the both of them, then got flustered when Rae called him out for blushing.
He bought her Azaleas as a welcoming home gift when she came back from her parents; telling her the reason he picked those specific flowers was because it reminded him of his childhood home; a place that's personal to him...do close friends do intimate stuff like that?
Her mind feels fried with overthinking all of this, trying to figure out all these obvious clues that Taehyung totally feels some type of way toward her and she feels the same way, but both of them are too dumb and stubborn to tell each other face to face. Rather, going around the bush and gifting or doing minute things that they know none of them will get the hint.
