This was it. Today was the day. Lindsey, Malory and I were running away today. I met up with Lindsey at the playground after school so we could finish last minute planning to make sure everything went right. I was going to hide in the bushes in front of her house until her parents leave. When they left I was going to run inside to help Lindsey with Malory. Everything went pretty much as planned until the babysitter showed up. Turns out Lindsey's parents hired a babysitter for them.
I was sitting in the bushes waiting and I saw a car pull up. Uh oh. I thought. Who is that? A girl who looked about 18 got out of the car and walked up to the door. She rang the door bell Lindsey's mom answered.
"Isabelle! Thanks for coming to watch the kids at night this week. I'll pay you when we get back?"
"Alright Mrs. Hutchinger. Have a good trip!"
Well what do we do now I thought. Hmm.
"What do we do now?" Lindsey texted.
"I have a plan. Just go with it." I replied.
"Okay..... I'm trusting you on this one."
"Make sure you and Malory are all packed and ready. We have to be ready to move."
"Okay. We'll be ready."
"AAAAHHH!" I screamed and stomped as loud as I could to make it sound like I fell. Then I ran up to the door and continuously rung the bell.
