Jesse's pov : 👦
She came back down with Malory.
"Good morning sleeping beauty." I said to Malory. She giggled in reply. "Want some breakfast?" I asked.
"Yes please." She said coming over to me.
"Here ya go. Careful, don't drop it." I warned.
"I won't." She said with confidence. "Did you both sleep well?" I questioned.
"Yeah!" Malory replied.
"Uh yeaah." Lindsey quietly said.
"It's okay you fell asleep." I whispered to Lindsey. "I didn't expect you to stay awake. Don't worry about it; we're safe here."
"Okay." She slightly smiled.
When we were all finished with breakfast we decided to go on a walk. We walked in a line together, me and Lindsey and Malory in between. Occasionally Malory would walk a bit ahead to look at something or she'd question something but other than that it was quite quiet and peaceful. It was nice to just go on a calming walk and I think it was well needed.
After our nice nature walk we went back to our treehouse and Lindsey and I made dinner while Malory played with a few dolls Lindsey brought for her. We all sat around the fire and ate dinner when it was done. After dinner Malory went to bed, exhausted from our long walk. Lindsey and I stayed up a bit longer. I read and she doodled and wrote in her notebook. Then we both slowly drifted off to a peaceful sleep.
