You've got to be freaking kidding me. My mom hired a babysitter. Seriously? A babysitter. Oh gosh. Well this should be interesting.
Beep beep. I got a text. "Don't worry follow my lead. When I leave get Malory and meet me at the park." Alright I guess Jess had a plan.
"Malory are you all packed?"
"Y-yeaah."
"What's wrong Mal?"
"Lindsey..."
"Yeah?"
"Where are we going? Why are we leaving?"
"Don't worry Mals. Jess and I will keep you safe. We're going to have a better life. We don't need to deal with mom and dad anymore. Okay?" I assured her.
"O-okay."
"Now come on. I hear Jess."
I don't know what that boy did but it got the babysitter away and we ran for it. When we got to the park we waited a bit until Jess arrived.
"Good you made it!" He sighed.
"Yeah. How'd you get her out of the house?" I asked
"Well I am have told her my brother was hurt and that she needed to come help right away. But I got lost and told her to go home.... Haha"
"Wow Jess. I never would've thought of something like that."
"Eh it was nothing." He replied.
"Is your brother okay!?!" Mallory practically shouted. Then realized she said that and quickly hid back behind me.
"Malory it's okay I don't have a brother." Jess assured her.
"O-okay" Malory said, shy again.
"Malory this is Jesse. Remember him?" I asked Malory.
"Hi Malory!" Jess said sweetly as Malory slowly came out from behind me. And that's when it happened.
"You've got to be kidding me!" I yelled.
"It's okay Linds. I know the perfect place to camp out! Follow me" Jess said assuringly.
"Quick in here!"
Sure enough, Jesse new a place but umm it defiantly wouldn't be my first choice.
"Where are we?" I asked, hoping I didn't know the answer.
"Well um you know that old abandoned house up the street?"
"Yaah..... Jesse, please don't tell me we're in Mr. Jenkin's house."
"That's the place." He replied. "Don't worry I've umm.... Well I've been here before."
"Really?" I question.
"Um yeah but uh that's not important." He quickly said. "Malory sweetie are you okay?" He changed he subject quite quick. That's odd.
"Yeah I'm okay." Malory shyly said.
"Good." He smiled.
"Don't worry Malory. Jesse and I will take care of you okay?"
"O okay" Malory said.
"Alright we should all get to bed. We have a long day ahead of us." Jess said while setting up a sleeping back for Malory.
"Jess, can I talk to you?" I asked.
"sure what's up?" He replied.
"Well what if someone comes in here or something?"
"Don't worry about it Linds. I got it covered." He said pointing to everything he had set up. "If they get past that well I don't think it's possible to get away from em. Don't worry about. We're safe, trust me."
"Thanks Jess."
"No problem Linds" he smiled.
"Why don't you get some rest." He suggested.
"Alright. Good night Jess."
"Good night Linds."
