I was so engrossed in my book I hadn't even noticed the dark figure slowly inching closer to us until it was about 10 feet away. I quietly closed my book and put my glasses back on to try to see what the dark figure was. Whatever it was I don't think it noticed me looking at it. It darted across the way from tree to tree hiding behind them. I slowly got up and started to approach the figure. I could barely make out it's face but I could tell it was human. This human seemed to be a bit shaken up and that's when I realized why...
The sun was starting to rise anyways so I woke Malory and Lindsey up.
"Girls hurry up! There's no time to sit around watching the sunrise. We gotta move and quick!"
"W-what?" Stuttered Malory, slowly waking up.
"Oh ok. Come on Malory! Hurry up!" Lindsey said.
"Jesse what's wrong?" Lindsey whispered to me.
"I'll tell you later we have to go!" I whispered back.
"It's okay just stay quiet and stay together. We have to get out of here." I said loud enough for both of them to hear and away we went hiding behind trees on the opposite side of the person.
