I heard the door slam closed as I ran down the empty street. I just kept running and running. Only stopping to catch my breath or get a drink. Around 2:30 a.m. I sat down on a bench to take a break. I had no idea where I was. I decided to take a quick nap. I was exhausted. I didn't sleep last night and I'd be running or walking a lot more. I set an alarm to wake me on my phone and went to sleep.
I woke up and off I went, again, not knowing where.
It was 7:40 a.m. when I decided to stop and figure out where I was and where to go from there.
Well now I know where I am but I still don't know here to go. So I thought I'd call Lindsey, my best friend, my only friend. I did, i told her everything. She said that I was welcome to stay at her place but I think I'd get caught there. Especially by her parents. She told me not to do anything stupid and stay safe. I told her almost everything. She knew my brother was a bully, she knew about my parents. Nobody knew more about me than her; not even my parents. I knew I could always trust her, after all she's the only one that cares anyways. She had to go to school but she said she'd call me later. So I hung up and kept walking always unsure of where I was going.
