"I am that which you fear, but dare not say aloud. I am the terrible thoughts in your head. I am the creature that fallows you on a dark lonely nighttime street. I am the beast in the dark corner waiting to pull you in. I am the killer waiting in the back seat. I am your loss of sanity. I am Pariah."

A flock of black birds flew into the sky as the young blond girl rushed past them.

A squad of police cars rushed past young Samantha, toward the huge red mushroom cloud forming behind her.

Sam ran faster than she knew she ever could as her adrenalin carried her further and further from the chaos behind her.

The police cars rolled up to the expanding red cloud. Screams of agony could be heard from inside.

Officer Jim stepped out of his car.

"Alight whoever is making that red foggy stuff, come out with your hands up." The officer yelled into a mega phone.

A young teenager stumbled out from the fog.

"I don't feel so good." The teen said. Then his head ripped open and huge fangs and tentacles burst out of his face. His stomach ripped itself open as a pair of long tentacles slithered out between his ribs that had now formed into teeth. The creature that used to be a young boy gave out a bloodcurdling screech as it clumsily ran toward the army of police officers. The officers opened fire, killing the creature.

More inhuman screams were heard from inside the red mist.

The officers went quiet. Officer Jim's heart raced as he saw the wall of red smoke bellowing into the sky. What the hell is this stuff? He wondered. The wall of smoke was so big that even though Jim and the others were a good 20 to 30 yards away from it, all they could see in front of them was the terrifying red funnel.

Then an army of mutated abominations to hideous to describe came running out of the fog at the officers. They looked like they were once human but their bodies were twisted and mangled beyond recognition, they had spikes, claws, tentacles and teeth growing out of nearly everywhere on their bodies. The cops opened fire. They managed to kill many of the creatures, but there were too many of them. Soon the monsters were on the cops, ripping them to pieces and eating their flesh. The cops that had gotten bitten by the monsters and survived soon turned into horrible monstrosities themselves. Eventually the cops managed to beat back the monsters.

"Is that all?" Asked a female cop named Nancy.

"Nancy, that's one of the things you never say in these types of situations." Jim said.

They all once again fell silent.

"That mist is getting closer." Nancy said. "And I have a feeling we do not want to be in that stuff."

Then that dark figure emerged from the fog. With the back suit, red tie, and black cowboy hat.

The crowd grew so silent they could hear Pariah's dress shoes hitting the pavement as he slowly walked toward them.

Ca-click, ca-click, ca-click.

"Holy shit." Nancy whispered. "That's fucking Pariah! Damn, he does look like that guy from Dazed and Confused."

"I ain't taken any chances with this fucker!" Officer Jim said. "OPEN FIRE!"

The Cops shot a barrage of bullets at Pariah. Pariah raised his hand and created a shield of electromagnetic energy. As the bullets hit the shield they were incinerated and turned into energy that was then absorbed by Pariah.
