Namjoon POV
I left Sooyoung at the other side of the room before I going to have a talk with my father. She look so beautiful today, I meant she always looking so beautiful even though I always trying to deny but my heart can't do that for me.
I'm knocking the door, my father immediately telling me to come in. He standing looking outside the window, maybe enjoying the night view while holding a glass wine in his hand.
"What do you want to tell me about my friend's daughter, Namjoon?" He asked as soon I sat down the couch. I sighed, he never using fatherly tone with me, always being so ignorant and I don't like that. I hate it.
"Can't you see she's my girl now?" He snorted at my words, "Is it because you don't want to marry Jennie?"
Jennie, Jennie, Jennie.
He always saying that name to me ever since the day he told me about wedding arrangement that me, myself don't know about. He took me as his black goat to maintain the relationship of him and his bestfriend and do he think marriage is a game?
"Stop that. I told you I don't want to marry with someone that I don't know."
"So you know so much about that girl that waiting outside? You can lie to everyone, Namjoon but not me, your father. You don't want to end with immature girl."
My heart start starting fire of anger listening to his words. It's only me that can say bad things to Sooyoung. Not everyone including him.
"You're saying things like that like your friend's daughter is good enough for me!"
He smacked the wall hardly but I don't even surprise. He look at me with angry eyes, "Who are you to say things like that at something that I chose for you?!"
"I'm your son... I'm your son, Mr.Kim. Have you ever think me as that? Ever since Mom left us, you've changed! What is my fault??? Tell me, appa!!" I found myself shouting at him, and my tears are falling. Shit, I hate this.
Why this need to happen today? At his own birthday party?
"I've changed because of you. You're not the son that I want you to be, unlike your stepbrother."
I felt like i've been shot by his words, damn. It's hurt so much right now. He just said that i'm not the son he want.
"Just from your face I knew that girl is not your girlfriend. Stop faking yourself, it's making you more pathetic." He said before leaving me here alone like a fool. Shit, I can't stop myself from crying. I feel want to kill someone right now.
"Yah.." A voice calling me and it's the voice of a girl that doesn't remember who I am, she's the beautiful but stubborn girl that can make my day better just by bickering with her.
"Yahhh! Why are you crying?!" She ran to me and sat in front of me on her knees. I looked away, this is not the situation I want her to see me. "Mind your own business." I barked, and she taking my face on her hands forcefully to look at her eyes.
"Pity on you, Kim Namjoon." She said slowly as her thumbs wiping my cheeks just like what I did to her this evening. "Shut up." I said but still letting my face on her hands.
"So this is what made you this cold and everything?" She asked with a smile. "No." My answer just making her laughing. I rolled my eyes and she got up and pulling my hand in her, she smiling widely for the first time at me before saying,
"This is not our place, let escape from here."
---
"So this is our place?" I asked her, lifting my left brow. She just shrugging and looking at the beautiful night skies.
She brought me to Han River. This place is a really nice place to calm ourselves and thanks to her, I knew this kind of place existed here. We both still wearing the clothes for the party but she changed the beautiful, expensive shoes I bought for her to the ugly sneakers that she's always wearing everytime I meet her. Somehow those sneakers looking cute pairing with the dress that my coordi noona chose for her.
"Why are you keep looking at me?" She asked with unhappy face. "It's because you look so ugly." I calmly replied making her scowling at me, "whatever, you told me i'm pretty earlier and don't forget the fact that I saw you crying today." She sticking out her tongue, teasing me.
"And don't forget the fact that I got your first kiss." I said to her and immediately she fell in silence, I can see her cheeks getting redder before I felt a hot slap on my arm.
"T-that's n-not my first ki-kiss!" The way she stuttering is so cute, I can't help myself from laughing hard. "You're making it's more obvious that you're fucking lying right now."
"Whatever!" She yelled to me and I stood up, standing looking at the beautiful river flowwing to the end, i'm wishing that my problems with my father can be like that, but everything is not made for easy.
"Are you really my childhood friend?"
She asked suddenly as she's standing beside me. Her voice seems like she really want to know. I turned to her and looking at her sparkling eyes, "Yes, I am but you forgot,"
"I.. I really,. don't know about you..."
"It's okay. We starting the new thing anyway."
9 Years Ago;
Namjoon was 5, Sooyoung was 4 ;-Namjoon was playing with his toys inside his room, but then he heard something fall from his parents' room. He quickly running there to check and finding his mother falling weakly on the floor.
"Eomma!" He shouted and trying to help his mother to get up. The woman managed to get up the little boy's help and she's trying to smile in front of her son even though the pain in her head is killing her from inside.
"Eomma, are you okay?" He asked her mother, his mother looking so weak right now but still she's trying to smile for him. He don't like it, he don't like that her mother trying to make things look better but the fact it's not. He feel worry.
"Eomma is fine. Have you play with Hoseok and Sooyoung today?" He nodding happily at the thought of two siblings as he start telling the story of three of them playing, forgetting about what happened to her mom just now but the woman just listening to her son with full of smile. She never been better just looking at her son's sweet smile.
"Namjoon." Suddenly her father came, interrupting the moment between him and his mother. He quickly stood up from the bed, "Go to sleep, we need to go tomorrow."
His happy mood has crashed down just by words from his father. He almost forgot the fact he's going to left the siblings and perhaps will never meet them again in the future. They will move to America for his mother's medication process and it's nothing he can do than just nodding, went back to his room and pouting.
The next day, Madam Jung, The Jung's siblings mother came with the siblings and he saw Sooyoung, his favourite girlfriend already crying while walking toward them.
"Awww, don't cry baby girl. You will meet Namjoon again in the future." Madam Kim cooed to the little girl but just making her more sad. Namjoon is a good friend to her and her other siblings, they made so many memories together but it's a bad thing they need to seperate this early.
"I.. I... I'm.. going.. to.. miss.. him.." She sobbed even harder and Hoseok that standing behind her can't help but pouting greatly, refraining himself from crying. Jungkook is just a 2 years old at this time but he knew much more things than his siblings did.
Namjoon took Sooyoung into his embrace and caressing her head sweetly before he whispers,
"Don't cry. I'll find you, and we're going to start something new."
