Chapter 2: Manifestation

The U.A exam was only about 2 weeks away and Izuku had decided he would bring a metal bat to the exam during the quirk apprehension portion of the exam. He knew he would need to do decent in that because he had only managed to memorize about 80% of the subjects on the written exam. 

Izuku was going to rest until he remembered his dream and tried to just drink coffee to keep himself awake but it was all for naught. Before he fell asleep a new colored light that had an almost mirror like shine appeared. 

He seemingly was at a day a few months back when they were choosing where to go after they left this school. He stood outside his school before it had begun that day but it seemed off. He felt as if he had just been yelled at or made to feel guilty. 

He walked through the gate to his school but a pissed off Bakugo was waiting there for him. "Oi, Deku where do you think your going?" Izuku looked at him almost as if he was stupid but he knew it was a dream so he was fine. All of a sudden a right hook came out of nowhere and landed squarely in his jaw. "Nice punch Kacchan... but I think it wouldn't be good for a future U.A student to beat up a defenseless peer." 

Bakugo got evidently pissed off. "WHAT YOU THINK YOU GETTING INTO U.A SHIT NERD?!" Izuku backed up. "No I was just saying it will look bad because I'm not even close to being a threat to you." Bakugo smirked. "Glad you finally realized what everyone has been telling you for years." He said before sending another punch into Izuku's gut then walking away.

The rest of the school day past without much incident until the period he knew that they were choosing their next school. The principal asked Izuku to come to the office and Izuku complied quickly to get out of the class he hated so much. 

When he went into the office their was a police officer in the room. "You wanted to see me sir." Izuku said to his principal who looked down. "Izuku I'm not sure how I can tell you this... especially after you have already had a hard life but..." The words were being said but Izuku went hollow and couldn't actually hear what was being said. 

The police officer and principal just stood there waiting for Izuku to react but he just stood there with a blank stare on his face before snapping back into reality. "I'm sorry can you repeat that?" The principal looked at the cop who nodded. "Izuku there was an incident at a nearby bank today and a villain took hostages. Your mother happened to be one of them and well the villain shot her in the head, and she died before her body hit the floor." Izuku collapsed to his knees tears flowing from his eyes. Izuku was confused as to why he hadn't woken up yet but decided to go back to his class and wrote he would be going to U.A.

Later that class it was announced that the only two applicants to U.A were Izuku and Bakugo who immediately filled with rage. "WHAT THE FUCK MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN GET INTO U.A DEKU?!" Izuku just smirked before walking towards the board and did the one thing nobody would ever think he would do. 

On the board he had written. "BECAUSE I'M A BETTER HUMAN BEING THAN YOU" Bakugo lunged at him and the teacher was just shocked but Izuku managed to dodge the hit and return it with a hit of his own to Bakugo's jaw thus knocking him out instantly. Izuku then walked out of the class happy about what he had just done.

He began walking towards his house and took the long way. He began remembering this from his first time and the cue of the dreams, the events leading up to this were different but this was the same, he walked under the bridge and faced an unopened sewer grate. Almost as if on cue a sludge oozes out of the sewer and lunges at him. "Thanks kid you're my hero." Izuku understands that he will be saved in time but more time passes and this time he feels like it won't be the same until right before he passes out he hears. "DO NOT FEAR FOR I AM HERE!" Izuku smiles slightly as All-Might saves him.
