Chapter 7: Choices

All-Might and the other teachers brought Izuku to a room to question him after the incident at the U.S.J to find out more about what Izuku meant by he knew what was going to happen.

"Young Midoriya you said you knew what was going to happen once you saw those villains what did you mean by that?" All-Might began as Izuku looked down at his hands. 

"I have these dreams normally the events don't happen the same only slight differences. It began happening right around the time I had began trying to find a way to pass the entrance exam. It started with events that hadn't happened but easily could of like that slime villain you captured had nearly killed me in one of the dreams and then I was quirkless but asked if I could be a hero to you All-Might... and well I was disappointed with the answer. So the last time one of these dreams happened it showed the U.S.J and it had been happening the exact same way right up until the villains showed up. I began panicking when they showed up cause I saw my dream, Tsuyu died Aizawa looked like he was dead but what happened to him still happened. This time though I lost my mother and I lost it knowing she might not be the only death that would happen and I couldn't just let it happen." Izuku said before looking to his teachers eyes to see whether they believed him or not. 

The teachers all stood there shocked and in wonder at what he had said. "Is there anything about those dreams you want to tell us." Izuku hesitates before speaking. "I guess it is also where all my quirks seem to come from. Once these dreams began I began developing quirks randomly but they were always similar to quirks that I somehow had in my dreams. Though somehow here in the real world there is always a slight difference, like my cloak and scythe in my dreams always needed power to be drawn in from an outside source but in real life I can summon the cloak without a second thought and the scythe is more of an energy enhancement so I can use another weapon with the power of the scythe." 

It was just one shocking revelation after another but the teachers had found out what they wanted to know. "So Izuku we now have to decide what to do with the fact that you killed one of the villains... We decided to keep it under wraps based on the circumstances but you can't do something like this again." Izuku was surprised he got off so easily and as he went to leave the room All-Might seemed to be in deep thought. 

The next few days were taken easily after the events at U.S.J but Izuku was happy to do some normal class stuff and not have to worry about fighting for a bit. Then Aizawa mentions that in about a month they would be having the sports festival and that they would get 2 weeks off to prepare. Izuku was excited as he had watched the sports festival religiously since he was a kid as he was always excited to see the quirks and how kids used them. His favorite was a kid was a kid from a few years ago who seemed to have the ability to phase through things. He knew that kid would become a great hero especially if he could use it on other people as well. 

Izuku wondered if he would have another dream and get another new power before the festival but he was sure he would be ready if he didn't. His knew power he decided that he would call Lightning Balancer as he thought that the black and white lightning was kind of a balance of good and evil. Though he thought to himself that if he came up with a better name later he would change it without a second thought. 

(Hint hint I need a good name for the quirk)

As the time was getting closer to the break before the sports festival Izuku was getting more and more excited ready to begin his training to get a better grip on his quirks.  He was still trying to figure out the extra power that seemingly had no immediate use but seemingly nothing would bring it out. 

The first day of their break came quickly but All-Might had said he wanted to speak with him in private. Izuku of course obliged as it was his idol and he couldn't refuse. When Izuku shows up to where All-Might had wanted to meet he saw this scrawny man who looked almost like a skeleton. Izuku pulled out his phone and put on some music while he waited but soon the skeletal man began approaching him. Izuku thought nothing of it before the man tapped him on the shoulder, Izuku took out his earbuds to see what the man wanted. 

"Yes, how can I help you?" Izuku asked the man before the man smiled and seemingly transformed into All-Might. Izuku was shocked and fell back and just sat there completely unable to say anything. "Young Midoriya, I have chosen to share my secret with you as you seem to show the traits of a true hero and with the right guidance I believe you could be a top hero, possibly even the number 1 hero." Izuku was surprised by the sudden revelation that his idol believed that he had the ability to become the number one hero but there were definitely heroes who could be stronger and better than him. 

"You see young Midoriya I was not born with this quirk. The quirk I have is the power developed over multiple generations and honed over time. My quirk is called One for All and it is a quirk that stockpiles strength and is passed on from one user to the next, it is a direct opposite to a quirk called All for One which takes quirks away and gives it to the user. The reason I am telling you this is because I believe you to be a worthy successor of my quirk and I wish to bestow this power on you." Izuku was confused that All-Might would choose him. 

"All-Might I...I don't know what to say it is an honor that you would bestow your quirk on me but I'm not sure if I can accept it at least not right now. I just got a new quirk to manifest and I have yet to get a good control over it. So I'm sorry but I can't take your quirk... not yet at least. I will keep this secret though I swear to you on that." All-Might accepted what Izuku said but was evidently disappointed.
