It had come out several days after the sports festival that Stain had ended the career of now former pro hero Ingenium. With this news everyone knew Iida must be hurting and that as of now two students had family members hurt or killed since joining the school. Izuku also heard another announcement would be taking place but before that Midnight had shown up in their class, Mineta was drooling while she gave a sharp look towards the class. "Today we will be choosing hero names for an upcoming assignment. I am here to give a final opinion and you will have one hour to make your final decision."
The class spent the next hours testing out several different names with some being rejected and others being praised. Izuku was struggling to think of a name but the one name that kept coming to his head was Deku. Izuku hated that name Bakugo had used it to insult him and make a way for everyone to tease him but if he used it would it make him a joke again. Izuku wrote it on his board just after Uraraka had been walking back.
"Hey Izuku what have you come up with?" She looked at the name and smiled at the boy. "That sounds cool it seems to have a positive light almost as if saying you can do it." Izuku smiled at the girl never really noticing the way she looked at him but he was beginning to understand. "Thanks Ochako." Izuku walked to the front of the class and revealed the name he was going to use. Immediately Bakugo kinda began laughing before Izuku smiled and sent a quick lightning bolt at the boy knocking him over from his leaning chair. "I already knew your opinion Bakugo so go shove your board up your ass." Bakugo got up and laughed again.
"Want a fight? I beat Todoroki and you couldn't beat him so what chance do you have against me?" Izuku put his board down and walked to Bakugo before placing a hand on his shoulder. "Just know I'm holding back my power and if I should have a fight with you maybe I'll just let my control waver a bit show you what being in a hospital room is like after all you've sent me there enough times when we were young." Bakugo sat back down silenced.
At the end of the hour Aizawa came back into the room and began explaining that they would be participating in internships for a little while to teach them more from the pros. Quickly everyone began choosing from the offers they had gotten. Izuku realized that Iida had chosen to join a hero in Hosu city which was where his brother had been injured.
Izuku understood what his plan was but he had nothing he could do about it as he hadn't gotten any offers. Izuku got up and left the class mumbling about how he had nothing to do so he might as well leave. All-Might was now approaching him and Izuku looked happy. "Young Midoriya there is someone who wishes to meet you during the internships so I suggest as your new mentor that you see this man." Izuku smiles and agrees due to him not having anything better to do.
A few days later the internships were set to begin and the students were all at the train station to get their rides to their internships. Izuku saw the address he had been given and noticed it was somewhat close to Hosu city and wondered if he would have the extra time to check on Iida during the week. When Izuku arrived at the house he was meant to intern at he saw an old man on the ground in a pile of a red substance.
Izuku panicked and ran to the man. "Sir are you okay? If you can hear me I'm going to bring you to the hos...pi...tal." Before he could finish the old man stood and smiled Izuku then realized that the red substance was to light of a red colour to be blood and began realizing he had been made a fool of.
"So I'm Izuku Midoriya, All-Might told me you wanted to see me." The old man walked over to him. "Looks like All-Might has been lacking on your teaching. Tell me kid how long have you been the successor of One for All." Izuku looked confused about how this man knew about One for All but decided he would answer the man.
"Well honestly I was just given it yesterday." Izuku explained while the old man looked confused. "Quit bullshitting me boy... I saw you use it in the sports festival against Endeavor's boy." Izuku sighed. "Well about that I had a hint of it for awhile but I seem to develop quirks randomly when I have special dreams. In one of those dreams I developed One for All but somehow it just couldn't be controlled so I only managed to tap into it the one time during the sports festival and only for an instant."
The old man seemingly understood what had been going on now and sighed. "Well looks like I'm going to have to apologize to Toshinori, I just thought he wasn't teaching you. I guess I'll give you some tips towards using it. From what I saw you concentrated your power into the punch, while this does increase your power output it also focuses the repercussions into that area thus your broken limb. Instead of doing that you need to focus the power throughout your body evenly so you can control your output so you don't break limbs."
Izuku understood the concept and began tapping into the power and allowing it to course through his body. He felt the power everywhere but it was requiring an insane amount of concentration since he hadn't much practice with his quirk.
"Good now let us see how you do in a fight against me." Izuku heard the man say before he began bouncing around the room at blinding speed. Izuku Began to focus on allowing the power to continue around his body and used the quirk to move fast towards the old man but wasn't fast enough and got a boot to the face knocking him to the ground this breaking his focus and causing the power to ebb out of him. He began focusing again but got hit again before he could do anything.
Izuku began getting pissed off and began tapping into his quirks that he doesn't need much focus on. "THAT IS IT OLD MAN!!!" Izuku screamed as black and white lightning began sparking around Izuku and every time the man began coming towards the boy he unleashed a shockwave. The old man began panicking knowing he had real destructive power and didn't want the building coming down. He quickly went to the door and went outside, before turning around to see the boy slowly walking out the door behind him. "What scared old man can't take an attack from a youngster like me?" He jumped into the air and tried to put as much distance as he could before he heard the crackling of the lightning surrounding the boy.
Izuku smirked before holding his hands in front of him and a ball of white and black lightning appeared between his hands and then pulled his hands together collapsing the ball. He then went into his pocket and pulled out a coin. "Lightning Emperor's Destruction" He flicked the coin into the air and suddenly he punched towards the coin releasing a shockwave and the lightning he had collapsed earlier causing the coin to go at super speed towards the hero. The old man struggled to dodge and took the coin in the shoulder quickly dislocating it.
As the hero fell from the sky Izuku powered up One for All and used the power to launch into the air to catch the hero. Once they landed Izuku brought him back into the house and put him on the couch and waited for him to wake up again.
He has shown that his power can increase but he is making ties faster than I can sever them. At this rate he won't be able to win against he who has yet to come.
