Chapter 28: Hayze-ing

Izuku knew his match was next and he made his way to the arena and saw his opponent standing there. The guy he was facing had an intimidating aura to him, he was tall Izuku guessed more than 6 feet tall and had a very toned muscular build. He could already tell that he might not have the physical power edge here but quirk wise he had more versatility. 

The fight began and Izuku decided to play the defensive at the beginning and his opponent began slowly walking towards him. "Kid you might want to give up now or you are going to get hurt. You have no chance against me." Izuku just looked at the guy and dropped into his fighting stance and began charging a shockwave in his legs so he could make sudden escape if needed. 

"Fine... have it your way." The guy lunged at Izuku with a large amount of speed that Izuku had no time to react to and felt as the man grabbed him by the collar. "Last chance kid... surrender or injuries take your pick." Izuku erupted with lightning in an attempt to get the man to drop him and managed to feel the man's grip lessen but then he felt a hard object hit him in the gut hard causing him to puke as he went flying to a wall. 

"Don't say I didn't warn you." The man began running at Izuku as he struggled to get to his feet. Izuku lifted his head just in time to receive another blow to the face sending him flying again into a different wall this time Izuku felt his consciousness fade for just a moment before he managed to get to his feet coughing out blood and being only able to see blurry shapes. 

The man stood in front of the boy, looking at him with pity. "No fight in you, shame i was hoping that even being a kid you'd at least throw a bit of a challenge at me guess it was just too much to expect from you. Do me a favor and just give up you have no chance." Izuku put a hand on the guys chest with barely any strength holding him up, the audience was surprised at just how much of a blowout this was seemingly it hadn't even been a full 30 seconds but this green haired kid looked like he was about to pass out. 

Izuku then heard some voices cheering him on, he couldn't make out exactly who but he was sure it was Momo, Kirishima and Todoroki. Then he heard the voice he never thought would be cheering him on, "OII SHITTY NERD YOU HAVE MORE FIGHT THAN THAT DON'T YOU?!" Izuku felt himself crawling his hand up the man's chest towards his head. "Wow even your friends think you can do more than this time to show them how brutal this tournament truly is." 

The man grabbed Izuku by the head and lifted him off of his feet and smiled. "Prepare to fly... If you can still get up after this I'll actually try." He threw Izuku into the air and everyone saw as the boy flew into the sky stories high and knew if he landed he may not be able to get up anymore. Izuku couldn't help but begin to fade into unconsciousness as his body soared into the air. 

I guess that's it, I won't be able to recover in time this is my loss, I couldn't do anything to get stronger. That monster will be too strong even if I pull this off. How would I ever get stronger than that Izuku who didn't have to worry about the monster. 

"Wow once again a limit seems to of been hit. I guess the variable I saw in you was that you would actually give up. It seems that at least one timeline gets to be safe but who knows if it was just delayed. I guess you might as well accept that You won't be able to save anyone since you can't even protect yourself." The projection of the man who had been helping said before fading. 

Izuku felt himself begin to flash through the events of his life and noticed that he was also seeing events of each Izuku he had seen as well. He saw a timeline where he and Bakugo had grown to be like brothers, another where he had gone evil but saw the reason and realized that the one thing that was a constant was a need to be stronger each one needed more power they each suffered but each one overcame so much.
