It wasn't long after the fight with Mirio that Aizawa talked about internships. Izuku was excited knowing he could get more training with Gran Torino but Mirio approached him and asked if he would consider trying to be an intern at Nighteyes hero firm. "I don't know... wait did you say Sir Nighteye, All-Might's former sidekick?" Izuku looked hopeful since he would be able to see more about All-Might's past.
"Yeah he was All-Might's former sidekick, and I've been getting the vibe that he has wanted to meet you." Izuku looked confused as he began thinking about why he would want to meet him.
"Sounds like a good opportunity then, I accept the offer." Izuku says looking forward to the internship.
The next day arrived and Izuku arrived at Nighteye's hero firm and was about to enter the room when Mirio stopped him. "You should know he is going to test you as he pretty much only approves of people who can make him smile and laugh." Izuku looked concerned. "Mirio I'm not funny though, how am I going to make this guy like me." Mirio looked puzzled. "Thats for you to figure out."
Izuku walks in and sees Nighteye turn to scowl at him. "If it isn't All-Might's successor and cause of death. I take it I have Mirio to thank for bringing you here?" Izuku nodded clearly there was a hostility present.
"Well you can pass One for All onto Mirio now after all before you showed up All-Might was going to pass it to him. After all that is the whole reason he even began teaching at U.A." Izuku recoiled back at the statement.
"I'm sorry I don't know what you are talking about. Passing on a quirk that is impossible." Izuku said trying to sound as genuine as possible.
"Izuku Midoriya I was still in contact with All-Might after he had passed on his quirk I know it was to you. I just don't accept it as you have quite the past behind you with fights and a murder. How you came to become the successor of the symbol of peace I won't know, but if you want to be a true hero you should pass on that quirk to someone more deserving." Nighteye said, this made Izuku irritated.
"You know what you may have been his sidekick but I don't care what you say cause I have been working my ass off to become a hero worthy of being All-Might's successor and yeah I have had my problems but you try manifesting multiple quirks randomly and having seen your mother die multiple times along with everyone you care about. On top of that get tortured by villains to the point of near death and then to add insult to injury have them throw you into a room with the decaying body of your mother and tell me if you still want to be a hero." Izuku screamed at the pro.
"These fits of anger are just another example as to why you shouldn't be a hero nevermind the successor of One for All." Nighteye said and Izuku turned around. "Well at least I was there when he died, I actually tried to do something where were you sulking in the corner about how he didn't listen to you." Izuku shot back before walking out of the room and Mirio was there waiting.
"How'd it go?" Mirio asked. "Don't fucking talk to me, this was a mistake and I shouldn't of even applied here thanks but I'm going to go back to U.A and train for the next fight I'll inevitably be in." Izuku began walking back and when he got back to U.A went to the training areas.
Once he got there he began practicing his normal fighting style. "Fuck Nighteye." Izuku says as he continues to throw punches and kicks. "What the fuck does he know." Izuku begins getting heated and tapping into One for All for his attacks and continues to do this as the air pressure moves objects around the room.
It was then that Nighteye walked into the room. "Izuku Midoriya..." Izuku turned and looked at the pro. "Fuck off or I'll make sure they change your hero name to blackeye." Nighteye backed away slightly. "I'm here to apologize for what I said but I still believe Mirio to be the better candidate for One for All, but I want to be given the chance to see why you were chosen so would you intern at my firm."
Izuku looked at the pro with a hate filled glare. "I will but just to pass this class since I don't have time to go to anyone else." Izuku followed the pro to the firm where he was informed that there seemed to be a quirk enhancement drug around recently so his firm along with a few others would be looking for a lead to who is distributing it during a patrol.
As Mirio and Izuku went out for patrol they began talking. "So Nighteye is he always a prick?" Izuku asks not hiding his disdain for the man. "Midoriya Sir Nighteye is just very blunt and he doesn't mean offense." Mirio tried to explain.
"Well he seemed to have something against me so sorry if I have a hard time believing he means no offense... Mirio that little girl looks lost and hurt." The pair of boys runs to the little girl. "Are you okay sweetie? Are you lost?" Izuku asks while taking in the scars all over her arms and trying to determine what they are from. Suddenly a man shows up with a weird mask.
"There you are Eri I was so worried about you come home now." The man says and the little girl just looks at the boys with a scared look and before Izuku could do anything Mirio held him back. "No we can't do anything there but he looks like a guy we have in the database. We should report this to Nighteye."
Izuku looks at Mirio before sighing. When they get back to the firm it turns out they found a trace of the drug around the area of an attack that was stopped nearby where Izuku and Mirio had found the girl. "I wonder if these two events are connected cause the girl looked really worried and the man looked highly suspicious." Izuku chimed in before Mirio pulled up a picture from the database. "This is the man we saw his name is Kai Chisaki his family were the leaders of a former Yakuza that got disbanded called the Eight Precepts. It is my theory that they didn't disband but decided to go into the underground in order to continue their Yakuza operations which I believe involves this strain of quirk enhancement."
Nighteye stands up. "If this is to be believed they may be preparing for a raid since they have now been seen which means we need to prepare a strong raid that nobody could be prepared for as if this drug gets into a larger mainstream everyone could be in danger. Also that girl needs to be saved if reports from Lemillion and Deku are accurate as the wounds were described as almost being torn apart but put together again somehow."
"Well I say Lemillion and I should enter with Eraserhead and a few others including help from another firm to be able to have a larger team than them because the name Eight Precepts makes me think they will only have 8 people with a varying array of quirks so if we go in with 16 we would outnumber them and we could go in teams of 2 to cover more ground." Izuku says knowing its a basic plan but its better than nothing cause it took them a long time to create plans before and Izuku didn't want to have to wait long before saving that girl.
Nighteye looked at Izuku and nodded. "That would be a good idea as I know that another firm has had a run in with the quirk enhancing drug and almost lost an intern recently due to the effects." Izuku began thinking of who it could be until he realized it was probably where Kirishima was interning.
Izuku went home that night and began thinking about all the possible situations that could happen during the raid because they had no records of quirks but he felt like he knew but he couldn't remember.
"Izuku it has been awhile and I believe this will be a fun time to enhance your abilities for the incoming danger." Izuku stood in a ruined building and he was face to face with the man that had caused him so many problems over the past months.
"What the fuck do you want now?!" Izuku said giving a death glare at the man across from him.
