The fighters of the gang were soon able to sense the familiar presence of their old friend, Goku. In the distance, they were finally able to spot a small, circular pod, similar to the ones Vegeta and Nappa arrived in. As it neared the ground, the gang hurried to the exact crash site.

"Wow, we get to meet the Goku!" Niya squealed, turning to Trunks. "Aren't you excited? C'mon, let's go!" She grasped his hand and took off in a blast to catch up to the others.

Goku crashed down, creating a reasonably large crater and shaking the ground beneath them. They all gathered around the circumference, anxiously anticipating their hero to emerge from the space pod.

At last, the door opened, releasing a sinister amount of foggy smoke.

Everyone held the breaths. It had to be Goku, right? That is what the two mysterious strangers had informed them, but they could have been wrong. There was no reason to believe them. But they managed to gain some ethos as their friendly neighborhood saiyan stepped out of the pod.

There was cheering, then confusion upon Goku's face, then more celebratory standards as Goku flew to his friends and son. They wore bright smiles, elated to see him once again.

Niya and Trunks allowed a moment for the reunion, but turned to each other, growing serious. "Do you want me to go alone?" Trunks asked.

His partner shook her head. "I'll go with you. We're a team remember?" she replied. Then she added, “Besides, I wanna talk to Goku, too.”

Trunks smiled and nodded. The duo walked closer, meeting Goku's eyes.

Apparently, Bulma had just finished explaining how the two strangers had defeated Frieza and his buddy easily in their Super Saiyan forms.

"So you two defeated that nasty Frieza, huh?" Goku grinned. They nodded. "Wow, that's amazing! And you're both so young! And it's so cool to meet a girl Saiyan! I'm Goku!" He held his hand out.

Niya silently gasped at being talked to by her idol, ecstatic. She gleefully shook his hand, "Wow! Nice to meet you! I'm Niya!"

Trunks stepped in. "Sorry to interrupt, but can Niya and I speak to you... in private?"

Goku was slightly taken aback, but he agreed. And so, the three flew off to the other side of the crater. Trunks explained that Niya and him were from twenty years in the future. More importantly, he warned about the horrendous monsters from the future, two Androids. He informed where and when the Androids would arrive to begin their rule of terror. To sum up, the gang had three years to prepare for the mechanical monsters. Lastly, Trunks gave Goku the medicine he would need for his heart virus.

They lastly asked for Goku to not reveal they were from the future. It was imperative that Goku kept their identities a secret to not prevent the births of the two.

Although surprised, Goku understood and agreed upon their terms.
But instead of saying goodbye, Trunks decided to test Goku's powers. They both flipped on their super saiyan and lightly battled out for a minute. Trunks tested Goku with his blade, but Goku only used his fingertip to deflect his blows.

Trunks seemed quite satisfied. At last, they thanked Goku, wished him luck, and said farewell. The duo dashed off without further words.

As Goku returned to the gang, he explained the warning about the androids and stressed how they had to train for them.

Strangely, a small ship with sharp legs and a glass top revealed the duo. They waved the gang farewell and proceeded to mystically vanish into thin air.

And so, the group split off to begin their intense training in hopes to defeat the Androids.
