Noemi began to step back, fear coursing through her veins. "No... No... You... Y-You were supposed to die!"

"Us? Die?" 17 snickered. "Never." The twins slowly began stalking over, removing their damaged coats.

"Alright. Enough playing the good guy," 18 frowned, pulling her blonde hair behind her ear. "She tried to kill us, didn't she, Seventeen?"

"That's right," 17 began to roll up his white long sleeves. "I think it's only fair that we try to kill her. But we'll be successful, won't we, Eighteen?"

"Yeah," 18 glared at the fearful girl. "This is the end, kid."

Noemi continued to step back with every step the twins took forward. What could she do now? What was the plan now?!

"Should have put an end to you a long time ago," 17 added. "Say hi to your parents for me."

At that comment, Noemi grew still. Her parents... They had killed her parents and just about every single person she had met. They had ruined the world, poisoned it with fear and destruction.

Noemi clenched her fists, her head hanging. Tears spilled down her cheeks.

"Crying again? Is that all you do?" 17 asked before kicking her down to her bottom. "You're a saiyan. At least put up a good fight."

"Your father gave a very pathetic but brave effort," 18 added. Then, she scoffed in disgust at the crying girl. "This is just sad."

"Sad?" 17 questioned. "Sad?" his voice raised a bit. "This brat lied to us again. Nick and Niya -- they weren't here." He glared, angry with being deceived and at the cotton candy haired half-saiyan. "She's getting what she deserves."

He lifted his foot to kick her on the chin, sending her flying a few feet back with a grunt. The snow barely crunched from her underweight, thin body. Her hands burned from the chilly snow.

18 groaned and moved to kick Noemi in the side, sending her tumbling to the left. "Put up a fight!" she demanded. "I didn't waste all this time just for a boring finish. Where's that fire you use sometimes? At least that was entertaining."

Noemi groaned on the snow, holding her side. Despite wearing a coat, the cold seeped inside, freezing her every fiber. But, her core was warm. There was a tiny fire indeed inside of her. But with every blow to her body, the fire weakened. What was the point in anything now?

17 went over, hands on his hips as he stared down at her. "Right. What will your final words be? Surely, you'll think of something fiery and vulgar to say."

Why? Noemi thought. Why would I say anything like that? I'm gonna die. There's no point...

Noemi retched when 17 stomped his foot into her stomach.

"No words?" 17 questioned at her coughing and groaning. "Then, die!" He then repeatedly stomped his foot into her stomach.

Noemi yelled out in pain, blood soon spurting from her mouth, her eyes wide. Pain surged through her and her throat burned. It became increasingly hard to breathe with each blow to her stomach. She yelled louder when she felt her some ribs break.

Stop! Noemi screamed in her mind. Stop it! Then, she admitted the thoughts to herself, I don't want to die!!!

Something then awoke inside of her. Her heart raced, and adrenaline pumped through her. She felt it. The will to live, the will to fight.

I don't want to die! Noemi thought again. I won't die! Not here! Not like this!

"Come on, kid!" 17 yelled. "This can't be all you've got!"
