Cell wore a pleased smile as he stood in the center of attention, for all to behold the greatness of his Perfection. Everyone stared in horror except for Vegeta, who had returned, ready to begin the next round of their match.

Once the shock wore off, Krillin felt a surge of red-hot anger. Android 18 was gone to create the monster before them. The beautiful, blonde woman who had given him a kiss...

Fury fueled him, and he attacked Cell blindly. Just as anyone would expect, he was swatted aside, but with a broken neck. As Trunks grew alarmed, he hurried over to feed the human a senzu bean.

Krillin gasped and stood, then hurried to warn Trunks that Cell would kill Vegeta. He said he knew because he had gotten a feel of Cell's true strength from the blow he had given him. Krillin knew Cell had much more power than he was letting off, just like he knew Trunks was hiding power, too.

Trunks admitted it was true. He was stronger than he seemed, and he revealed that he had grown stronger than Vegeta. But he couldn't bare to show it because his father was too prideful. He couldn't reveal his true strength to his father.

At last, the next round -- the proper match -- between Cell and Vegeta began. Excited to test their highest forms, the bio-engineered Android and the Saiyan Prince clashed in battle. No longer was Vegeta overwhelmingly overpowering Cell. Every offensive move from Vegeta was blocked. However, the saiyan noticed Cell wasn't giving it his all, and demanded him to do so. Cell agreed with a confident glow, and sped in a flash towards the saiyan.

Niya sensed the two powerful energies clash, knowing it was Vegeta and Cell. Earlier, the prince was dominating, but now, she felt Cell had a clear advantage. Vegeta, she felt, was giving it his all, but Cell still had more energy in reserve.

The saiyaness hissed as the Red Jewel burned against her throat. What was it trying to say? It finally stopped blinking and settled on an iridescent crimson.

Niya gasped as her sight was suddenly brought to see the battle. It was as clear as day before her eyes, a small red hue around the edges. The jewel had given her sight meanwhile she would arrive at the scene.

The dwarfed human watched the fight with unease and suggested Trunks to jump in and help. Trunks refused, saying that his father would be more humiliated accepted help than being defeated by Cell.

Vegeta was taken aback at Cell's new speed, but managed to a land a blow to the neck. To his horror, Vegeta saw the blow did no damage. He simply couldn't fathom that only a short while ago, his attacks were completely demolishing Cell. But now, his strength felt minute to Cell's Perfect form.

Cell was amused at how Vegeta's cockiness had dissipated and took advantage of his shocked state to land an open kick on the saiyan's chest. Vegeta managed to halt mid-air, but felt excruciating pain from the single blow.

The bystanders -- Trunks and Krillin -- grew more unsettled by the sight, and the half-saiyan's Super Saiyan aura began to grow around him. Trunks grit his teeth and clenched his fists. Krillin once again insisted that he go help his father. Trunks told him he would only do so when Vegeta was knocked unconscious. Krillin commented that would only be possible if Vegeta wasn't killed first.

As Vegeta returned, he was huffing and puffing with fiery eyes. There was no way he was losing. He grit his teeth and levitated a few feet into the air. His Super Saiyan aura expanded furiously around him as he held out his arms to his sides.

Vegeta powered up even further, gathering energy, before bringing his arms together, readying to fire.
