Niya gave one last kiss to Trunks before the ship doors closed behind her. It was official. She was in a spaceship, with her Grandmother whom was presumed dead, heading to the planet of the Ayatan Saiyans. It was overwhelming, but it was exciting to finally dive in completely in her saiyan heritage.

"Niya, is it?"

The young saiyan turned to the older one. She was surprised to see that Miyako had dropped her Phase One form. Her Grandmother had gray hair neatly braided atop her head with a golden hair fork. The wrinkles were more apparent on her face, and Niya was shocked at the resemblance to her mother, Makona.

Niya nodded with a light smile. Her Grandmother had spoken in Saiyan Language, so she went ahead to do so as well. "My name is Niyata Briar, but I'm guessing you knew that from the Red Jewel."

Miyako looked down at the Jewel. "Ah, no, actually. I could only see some faces and events."

The granddaughter bit her lip. "So, you saw what happened to Mom and--"

"Yes," Miyako nodded. She sighed with a solemn look. "Yes. My daughter -- your Mother -- is gone. So is your Father, your Brother and Sister-in-law, and many more." The old woman frowned in her sorrow.

Niya furrowed her brows, but then she gave a curious look. "Can I ask how you found the Red Jewel?" she asked. "During a fight, the Jewel shattered. But here you are, with it fully intact."

Miyako glanced at her. She gestured for her to follow her, "Come. I will show you." She began to walk up the ramp, and Niya hurried to follow.

As they walked further, they could hear chattering, also in Saiyan Language. When they reached the top of the ramp, Niya was shocked to see so many saiyan soldiers. She glanced at her left and right, seeing guards on both sides. In the room, which seemed to be the commands room, were saiyans pressing away at buttons. Aside from saiyans working around, moving cargo and such, Niya stepped forward and awed at the wide window in front of them. The view of outer space was magnificent.

"Amazing!" she awed.

At her voice, several saiyans -- in their black and crimson styled armor -- turned to her. Niya flinched and felt awkward at their gazes. She blushed from embarrassment and flashed a sheepish smile. She even gave a little wave.

The saiyans didn't hesitate to go on a knee, bowing their heads to her, pressing a fist to their chests. "Your Highness," they said in unison. "Princess," some of them said.

Niya was taken aback. They were so formal, and she was speechless as she looked around the room at all the saiyans. She had never seen so many of her kind. Her people.

Miyako stood tall beside her, still shorter than Niya. Her arms folded behind her, and her demeanor radiating unwavering confidence. She held up a hand, and the saiyans stood. "Return as you were," she told them.

The saiyans gave a small bow before doing so, and the chit chatting between them resumed.

Niya awoke from her trance and turned to her Grandmother. "That was so... weird," she made a strange face.

Miyako chuckled. "Well," she placed a hand on her shoulder, "maybe it can be something you will get used to."

"Um," Niya lightly laughed, "I don't know about that."

"Why not?" Miyako asked. "It's your heritage. It's part of who you are."

Niya sighed. "Grandmother, it is very nice to see these saiyans and you," she started, "but it's also very strange. Back on Earth, I'm no one. For all they know, I'm a simple Earth woman, doing my part in helping rebuild..."
