"Niyata! Where do you think you're going?"
A young girl of seven years with wavy, onyx hair and a brown, furry tail sighed at her full name, and worse, of being caught red-handed sneaking out through the window.
Niyata, preferably Niya, pouted. She stared at her Mother, Makona, who was tall with curly onyx hair, sharp eyes, and hands on hips, awaiting her daughter's answer.
Niya opened her mouth to answer, but then she grinned. "On a trip," she answered pleasantly before waving and jumping out the window. She giggled at her Mother's protestful shouts.
She lightly grunted as she landed on the mahogany colored dirt. She stood and wiped her hands on her black, crimson, and golden gown. She didn't care about the stains it would leave, and she giggled at the thought of her Mother's reaction.
Niya looked around and scratched her head to make her hair wilder and frizzy. Then, she pulled out a golden, decorative hair comb from her hair. It had intricate design and incrested on the center was the shimmering Red Jewel.
It was a famous heirloom passed through the Royal Ayatan Saiyan family for centuries, ever since the split from the barbaric saiyans. The two saiyan races had lived separate, that is until Lord Frieza managed to have both under his thumb. Unfortunately, before the two could merge to overthrow the tyrant, Frieza annihilated the saiyans on Planet Vegeta.
Ever since, the Ayatan Saiyans -- as they called themselves -- went on the run to avoid the Frieza Force. They remained hidden until word of the defeat of Lord Frieza by a Legendary Super Saiyan. They traced the fighter to Earth, and the Queen Makona just had to meet the hero of the universe.
Makona, her husband, Natu, and her son, Kusuke, went to Earth ten years ago. They met Goku and the Z Warriros and agreed to help fight two incredibly powerful Androids. They remained for three more years, and then the simple fight shifted drastically when Cell came into the picture.
They met their Future daughter, Niya, and her best friend, soon to become husband, Future Trunks. They came from an apocalyptic world where the Androids murdered and did as they pleased, so they traveled to Past to prevent it all from happening again.
All parties tried their hardest to help against the Androids, then in their final battle against Perfect Cell.
It was a shock when Son Gohan defeated the monster, but unfortunately, Son Goku, his father, sacrificed himself to save the Earth. He asked not to be brought back with the Dragon Balls, and the Earth settled into an era of peace.
The Royal Ayatan Saiyan family stayed in touch with the Z Warriors. In particular, Kusuke and Gohan became close friends, and he gave his half-saiyan friend a device so they could talk whenever they wanted to, a Communicator.
The saiyan family returned to their home world, Planet Ayata, and returned to their old life of royalty and leadership.
And seven years later, Niya grew up from that tiny infant born on Earth to a sweet yet mischievous, thrill-seeking, Saiyan Princess.
Niya heard the stories many times about the fighters and villains from Earth. Her older brother, Kusuke, of twenty years often talked about it and of his best friend Son Gohan, who was now seventeen and talking about this strange schooling called "High School."
"Let's see what Yucca is up to!" Niya giggled and hurried to leap from Capitol City roof to roof before her Mother could catch her.
She enjoyed leaping through the cool night air where she could feel the moon shine against her skin. It was like coming up for fresh air from her boring position as Princess. Only the fighting sessions with her Mother were intense enough to excite her.
