The young half-saiyan hid behind his mother as they walked over once Goku set his wife down from throwing her up into the air and catching her. She stayed a few feet away as Master Roshi approached the couple.
"So you're all better, huh?" the old Master asked.
"Sure! I feel just fine!" Goku replied with a smile, but then he narrowed his eyes as he grew more serious. "In my dreams, I could hear everything that was going on. We're in deep trouble, aren't we? But I'm not ready to fight just yet."
"Goku? Why not?" Master Roshi asked.
"Of course he's not. You still need to rest, so just stay put," Chi-Chi advised him.
"Hey, I'm alright," Goku assured her. "Just relax. It's time for me to start my training once again. It's time for me to move to the next level."
Chi-Chi was taken aback.
"What?" Master questioned incredulously.
Niya's eyes widened. "Do you really think there is a next level?"
Goku stepped towards the ocean, staring into the water. "Vegeta knows it, too. Through my dreams, I could hear him speak what I also felt -- that there is a level beyond that of a super saiyan. And I will rise to claim it."
"Eh?" Master Roshi was still baffled at th idea.
Chi-Chi was speechless.
Niya was shocked, but a smile rose on her lips. If anyone can reach a new level, it's Goku, she thought.

Goku dressed, and smirked as he claimed he would definitely reach a level beyond a super saiyan, but Master Roshi couldn't fathom the idea. His student was determined, saying he would be able to do it. He specifically said all he needed was a year to see if it was really possible. It was a long time -- too long -- but Goku said they both knew where a year's worth of training could be done in a day.
Chi-Chi seemed upset. Then Goku asked if it would be alright for him to take Gohan for training as well. It seemed to infuriate his wife further, but she gave in on the conditions of Gohan studying once the fighting was done. The saiyan husband agreed.
"Well, see ya," Goku turned to his wife and gave her a kiss. They said they would miss each other, then he turned away, placing two fingers to forehead.
Niya and her son were in the doorway. Before he could leave, she smiled at him, "Good luck!"
Goku nodded in appreciation and glanced her and the young boy, "Good luck to you guys as well." With that, the saiyan warrior used his Instant Transmission and disappeared.

Kusuke sat on the middle of the ship's floor, eyes closed, feet crossed, and Red Jewel glowing. He was fully concentrated in sensing the monstrous Android Cell.
"Are we on the right track, Kusuke?" Yamcha asked, peering over his shoulder as he held the steering handle.
"Yes," Kusuke simply replied. "But speed it up. I have a feeling Cell is almost done in that area."
Yamcha nodded and obliged.
"Alright," Tien crossed his arms. "We can't let Cell get away again. We have to stop him, and quickly."
Kusuke frowned, listening in. "I'm doing the best I can," he told the human, keeping his eyes closed.
"And we appreciate it," Piccolo jumped in. He sat leaning against a wall of the ship, arms and legs crossed. "It's just frustrating how we just barely miss him."
