Where can I take them? Noemi nervously asked herself. How can I distract them? She began to internally panic as she flew in the sky. The Androids followed closely behind her.
From West City, Noemi decided to lead them to Central Capital. It was the biggest city in the middle of the continent. It was now in ruins, just like all big cities, and it was populated with humans seeking refuge in abandoned houses and buildings. She told them it was a good hiding place since Niya, Niko, and Trunks' kis would be lowered an mixed with the humans.
"Cowards," 17 remarked coldly. "They just killed all those humans."
Noemi felt a lump form in her throat. No. They didn't, she thought guiltily, I did. They're all going to die... because of me...
The pink haired half-saiyan clenched her fists and moved to fly faster. Her anger, her pain, her sadness stirred stronger inside of her.
Soon, they reached overhead the city, and 17 didn't waste a second. He grabbed the girl's hair as he looked down. "Where are they?"
Noemi cried out and reached for his wrist. "Let me go!"
17 yanked her hair, glaring at her. With his other hand, he aimed down with an open palm. Blue energy began to gather.
Noemi's eyes began to tear up from the pain and stress. Her heart thumped loudly in her ears. Then, she lied and pointed west.
"They--They're moving th-that way," Noemi told him. She loudly swore in her head at her shaking hand that pointed.
17 stared hard at her, glancing at her trembling hand. He wore a frown, but then he smirked darkly. The energy began to expand and he unleashed it upon the city.
"NO!" Noemi yelled in horror at the sight.
The ground rumbled, and in a flash, they were blinded by the bright light of the explosion. All Noemi could do was shield her face from the debris, but 17 yanked her arms away.
17 extended his arm so Noemi could get a closer look at the destruction. Some screams echoed from below, cries for help, for mercy, in pain.
Noemi's eyes were wide, and tears poured down from her eyes. She tried to look away, but 17 only gripped her face so she could keep watching.
"Pay attention, Noemi," 17 warned her. "Never forget that I am the strongest being ever created. I always get what I want, and I do whatever I want." Then, he pulled her towards his face, so his cold, blue eyes could bore into her terrified, onyx ones.
"I let you lie this one time so I could teach you a lesson," he glared darkly. "Niya and Trunks would never risk anyone's lives. But it seems you would. And because of your lies, these humans all died."
Noemi's cries turned into sobs. It felt impossible to keep lying. She didn't want anyone else to die because of her.
17 scoffed and let her hair go. "Enough crying. Unless you want more people to die, you're going to lead us to them without anymore pathetic lies."
Somehow, Noemi managed to stay flying.
18 sighed. "Great, Seveteen. You scared her too much, and now, she's just going to cry," she crossed her arms. "She's just a little kid, after all."
17 placed a hand on his hip, "So what? What are you suggesting? That we take a break?"
18 shrugged, "Possibly. Don't humans need to eat?"
The male Android sighed, "Especially children." He then thought of his own son, who would go crazy over some foods.
Although unpleased with the idea, 17 frowned and began to slowly fly ahead. "Come on, kid. We're getting you some food."
Noemi glanced over to them with watery eyes when 18 bumped her shoulder into her as she followed her twin brother. She was greatly confused at his sudden spark of generosity. He usually faked kindness towards her around Niya and Niko.
But then she wiped her eyes at a realization. He wouldn't be able to find his lover and son without her help. He needed her alive. She could not live without water or food for long.
"Hurry up before I change my mind!" 17 called from ahead.
Although Noemi hadn't been very hungry all week, she needed to eat if she ever planned to survive the mechanical monsters.
Without another word, Noemi sniffled and followed the Android twins.

Noemi slurped down her bowl of ramen. It was delicious. She hadn't eaten out in forever. She set down her bowl and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. She then eyed the two Androids in front of her.
17 had covered his hair with his orange bandana and hid his eyes with black tinted sunglasses. His sister wore a sun hat and matching sunglasses. She had her arms crossed, mostly likely bored and agitated. 17 was pretending to read the newspaper while the girl finished her meal.
Noemi wondered why they would wear disguises in undestroyed towns and cities. She found herself curiously staring.
In a flash, 17 folded down his newspaper and pulled off his sunglasses to meet her eyes, making her flinch. "Good. You're finally done. Now we can leave," he moved to stand.
18 also moved to stand, but Noemi looked down her plastic cup with water and ice. This would probably be her last meal, her last sip at water. Sooner or later, she felt, the Androids would kill her for her lies. Then, they would kill all humans.
"Hurry up, kid," 17 glared at her sitting at the table as he held the restaurant door open. He flinched at entering customers thanking him.
Noemi looked down at the cup and chugged the rest of the water, only leaving the ice cubes. She then jumped out of her seat as she left her bowl and cup at the table. She waited for an old man to enter with an appreciative look at 17 before walking out the doors.
18 was waiting outside for them impatiently. "Ugh. Let's leave now."
"Alright, Noemi," 17 said her name with almost disgust, "we've fed you, but nothing has changed. Now, take us to who we want."
Noemi felt the food in her stomach twist and swirl, adding to her anxiety. "U-Um," she placed a hand on her stomach. "Okay."
"Which direction?" 17 asked, his voice straining from his patience running thin.
Noemi thought hard, pretending to sense around as she eyed the people walking around. Then she glanced in a direction. "North," she said. "They went North."
An idea brewed in Noemi's mind. The North was the only place where she could attempt to execute her plan.
17 stared hard at her before glancing around and taking off walking, slipping his sunglasses back on. "Then, you need a coat," he said. "We can't have you freezing to death just yet."
18 sighed and followed along.
Noemi clenched her fists. Although her plan would surely fail, she hoped it would at least buy her Aunt, Trunks, and Niko time to return.
Before 17 could tell her to hurry up, she ran to catch up.
