When Love and Eternity Collide (A Carlisle Cullen and Twilight Fan Fiction)

Chapter 19

Sophie's P.O.V.

"Sophie! Come down stairs for a minute!" Mommy shouted. I walked down the stairs to see what they wanted.

"What's up?" I asked. 

"We have some news for you. But don't worry, it is all good." Mommy replied. I hated when they did this. They knew I didn't like surprised.

"What is it? Stop stalling!" I shouted. 

"OK. Well, the people have said that you can stay here and be a part of our family forever." Mommy said. I had the cheesiest smile on my face and I ran straight to my mommy and daddy. 

"Yay!!!!" I screamed. Everyone was smiling at me. I had a feeling that they already knew this otherwise they would be screaming with me. 

"The other news, I'm not sure how you are going to take it but you have no choice." Daddy said in a voice that said 'Don't mess with me.'  

"What is it?" I asked warily. Please don't be sending me to military camp. At that thought Eddie started chuckling. I glared at him and he seemed scared but I knew he was playing. I would have to go with him one day to school and shout Eddie across the parking place in front of everyone.

"And I can tell you that you will be tickled to death." Edward said. I smiled at him with the sweetest look I could find. I knew that I had them all wrapped around my fingers. I didn't always use this to get what I wanted but at times like this it's helpful.

"Anyway, back to what we were saying," Daddy continued. "You're going to school." He said.

"With everyone else?" I asked. 

"No, you will be going to school in La Push. Sam is a teacher there and he has got you a place ready and classes. He is your teacher for this year and I think he is working it so he will be teaching you all through school while you are there." He said. I got to spend five days a week with Sammy boy? 

"When do I start?" I asked. I couldn't wait. I always wanted to go to school. It would be fun.

"Monday. We have to go shopping for your school supplies and clothes and things." Alice said. I didn't like it when she said shopping. She was like one of the gremlins that we watched yesterday. When they came into contact with water. One word summed that up. SCARY.

"Don't worry, I will save you." Edward said. He seemed to mean it. 

"OK." I said. If Edward was going then he could save me from the wrath that is Alice when I refuse to put on top that she liked or something. He smiled at me. I went up to him and lifted my arms. He picked me up and placed me into his lap. I sat there for a couple of hours and after a while I fell asleep.

My dream wasn't very nice. I was in a field. I was older than I was now. I didn't know why but I felt scared. Someone was coming out of the shadows of the woods that were at the other end of the field. I didn't like the vibe I was getting from him. 

"Caleb, please. Leave me alone." I heard myself plead.

"But you left me. For that oaf. He is only playing you Sophie. He doesn't love you. He never has. He is just looking to get some. Or maybe just use you to try and make you think that he loves and then leave you. Leaving you miserable." The man said. I didn't know who he was talking about. I didn't want to know. I wanted to go home.

He started walking towards me and he brought something from his pocket. It was a knife. He was close to me. 

"This is for leaving me, bitch." He said. Then he plunged the knife into my stomach.

I shot up and started screaming. Everyone was in the room in a second and the front door was open in a second and all the wolves were in the living room. No one could calm me down. Edward tried, Mommy tried, Daddy tried, Lizzie tried, Esme tried, Emmy Bear tried, Alice tried, Jasper's ability wasn't working. 

"Edward, pass her to me." Sammy boy said. I leaned over and Sam picked me up in his arms. Edward was relaying my dream to them. The fact that this was shown to me when I looked older seemed to make Daddy think I had a gift. I didn't want to see the future. 

After a while I calmed down. I felt tired again. But I didn't want to sleep. I didn't want the nightmare again. Anything but that.

"Sophie, just remember. Nothing is going to happen to you. We will remember him. I know what he looks like. If he does come into your life then we will keep him away from you. Do you understand me?" Edward said. I saw the protectiveness in his eyes. I liked that everyone was going to protect me. But what would happen to me if he got me alone like I was in the dream. I didn't want to die. I didn't want to leave the family I have now. I was finally happy and it looked like I wasn't allowed to be happy when I was older.

Edward's P.O.V.

I was watching the dream with her. I was frozen, and she was writhing in my arms. Everyone was in the living room but they couldn't get a response from either of us. Then she shot up. I was still frozen. Whoever this boy was. He wouldn't get anywhere near my sister. Not if I had anything to do with it. She looked about 17 or 18 years old. But she is only 3 now. 

I told everyone the dream. Sophie was in Sam's arms. None of us could calm her down. But then again, only an imprint can calm then if they are in devestation. Which Sophie seemed to be in. I didn't like the fact that she thought she wasn't allowed to be happy. 

If this boy came anywhere near her in the future. I would kill him. Emmett and Jasper were on the same wavelength along with the wolves. Surprisingly everyone was. He wouldn't touch her.

Considering that she was older in her dream, Carlisle seemed to think that she has a gift that is only active when she dreams. Maybe she can see the definite future. Not the subjective that Alice can. Or a bit of both? We wouldn't know until she grew up. If this happened then we would have to act fast to stop it. If she did meet him, then she wouldn't be going anywhere alone. Not while we knew what could possibly happen.

Sorry I haven't uploaded this in a while, and also for the shortness for my chapter.  The next chapter will be when Sophie is 15 and she starts to develop feelings for Sam. 

WHat will happen when she tells Sam? Will he feel the same yet? Will she ask what an imprint is?
