Chapter Two

I guess we didn’t get to school as late as I thought. The bell wouldn’t ring for 20 minutes. So I walked over to my locker and put my backpack in there, as I opened the door a note fell out. I picked it up as fast as I could because I had to hurry.

When I sat down in Biology I opened the note. It was an invitation to a party at a guy named Gus’s house. I think he is a senior like Chad and I. Today is friday and the party is tonight. But I don’t really know if I should.

I texted my best friend Hailey “Hey guess what? I got invited to Gus Mclain’s party tonight.”

Hailey replied “What?!? No way How?”

“Someone put an invite in my locker it fell out when I opened it.”

“Wow I am so going with you tonight.”

“Okay it’s at 9:00 p.m.”

“Okay class is about to start got to go.”

“Ttyl can’t wait for tonight.”

Soon classes were over for the day so I walked to my locker. When I got to my locker Chad was waiting for me.

Chad said “Did you get invited to Gus’s party?”

I replied “Yeah did you?”

“Yes I was wondering if you wanted to go with me.”

“Well I was going to go with Hailey but if you really want me to. I could go with you.”

“Why don’t we all go together? That would be fun. Right?”

“Yeah you want to bring me home or what?”

“Yeah sure.” As we walked to his car we decided he would pick me and Hailey up at 8:30. When I got home I called Hailey and told her I needed to go to the mall and that Chad was going to pick us up at 8:30.

Soon enough she was at my house with her car. The mall was only 20 minutes away so we took our time. I didn't really know how to dress for the party so I got a very cute but casual dress.

It is spring so I got a dress that comes just above my knees. It was a strapless dress and it was yellow with blue little flowers all over it. I wore a white sweater with it.

While Hailey picked something out I found the cutest high heels. They were sandals and 4 ½ inches tall.

Hailey got a dress that goes just below her knees that was light blue with purple flowers. She also got some black flats with sequence on them.

Hailey and I walked back out to her car. We drove back to my house by that time it was 6:00 we had to hurry with getting ready.

I ran to my bathroom and grabbed my curling rod. I was happy my parents were not home because they would not have let me go to the party.

Hailey helped me curl my hair. I put on some fresh makeup. By the time I had finished helping Hailey do her hair and makeup it was time to go.

In case you're wondering about Hailey having a boyfriend she does. His name is Carl he’s away visiting his family in Houston, Texas. He wanted to get away from the cold of Alaska springs.

Right as Hailey and I put on our jackets the doorbell rang. Hailey opened the door while I wrote a note to leave for my parents.

When I walked out Hailey and Chad were both staring at me.

Hailey said “I told you she looked great.”

Chad replied “I never said she wouldn’t”

I said “Okay let’s get this show on the road.” We walked out to the car I don’t think I ever told you that Chad’s car is a lime green Ford Mustang, my favorite car EVER!!!!
