Chapter One

My life is not as bad as it used to be. I am almost 18 and when I turn 18 I am moving out of this place and never looking back. My parents don’t even understand the way I feel. They think that I just have no reason to hate my life or myself. But I don't really think they love me anyway.

My parents always say they love me but it all feels like hate to me. I don’t really love them in a true sense. I love them because I feel like I have to I mean they are my parents I really have to.

Oh my gosh it’s almost midnight I have to get to bed I can’t miss school tomorrow. I love school because when I get a good grade the teachers like praise me and my parents don’t care.

Oh my gosh I just woke up and I have five minutes until the school bus comes. I’ll never make it in time.

“Mom,Dad? I need a ride to school” I shouted. No reply well my parents must have already left. Okay what now?

Oh I know I’ll text Chad. Okay you are probably wondering who Chad is well when I was 12 years old and moved to this school from Montana I didn’t really have an easy time finding friends.

So I changed my image and I guess I did pretty good because then people started to talk to me. Chad was the first one and he was really sweet and nice. We became really good friends. We have been best friends ever since.

About a year ago we started dating but he has never met my parents. Now I am a little worried for him to see my house I don’t want him to judge me by the way my house looks.

So I ran to grab my cell phone and I frantically unlocked it.

I typed “Hey Chad can you give me a ride to school I missed the bus?”

He replied “Sure babe what time?”

“Um… ten minutes?”

“Sure I’ll be there,”

So I rushed into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and did my hair and make-up. As soon as I was going to run to my room Chad rang the doorbell. Had it already been ten minutes?

I ran to the door and swung it open.

I said “Stay here I’ll be right back.” I ran and grabbed a hoodie and leggings. Threw them on and ran out to the door. I shoved my boots right onto my feet.

I said “Okay lets go.”

Chad replied “Are you forgetting something?”

“Oh yeah” I grabbed my backpack.

“No something else?” Asked Chad I walked over to him and kissed him on the cheek.

“Is that what you were looking for?” I asked

“Yup now lets go.”

We walked out to the car hand in hand. We had to hurry to get to school before the bell rings. As we pull into the parking lot I lean over and kiss him on the lips and say “Can you give me a ride home too?”

“You bet.” He replied.
