After Chad left I felt really awkward with Gus, So I just walked into the barn. I saw that Colt was in his own stall with a brand new English riding saddle, and the rest of the brand new tack.
“Hey um Gus did you buy all this tack too?” I asked
“Yeah the new tack came with him. I was meaning to tell you.” Gus replied
“Are we going to give him a different name or just stick to Colt?”
“Um I don't know do you want to change the name?”
“I really like the name Diesel Echo. What do you think of that?”
“Yeah thats a great name it sounds so cool.”
“Thanks, ever since that first day I saw him I have been trying to come up with names.”
“Well thats a good idea.”

I walked over and tacked up Diesel Echo, I grabbed my riding boots and helmet. I walked Echo (I'm calling him Echo for short.) out the paddock with Gus by my side. I jumped up onto Echo. I rode him around the paddock, he was perfect for me.
I stopped next to Gus and jumped off Echo. I gave Gus a huge hug and kissed him on the lips. I pulled away and shouted “That was crazy.” Then I realized that I kissed him. “Oh my god I am so sorry about that I was just so excited it just came out.”
“Its fine, Just lets get back to work.”
“Okay thanks just please don't tell anyone that happened especially Chad he would kill both of us.”
“Yeah okay.”
I jumped back onto Echo while Gus set the jumps the lowest positions. I rode Echo around and he went all out. Jumping twice as high as the jumps actually were. It felt great to be on such an amazing horse.
Gus called out to me “I think we should call it a day, why don't you cool him down?”
“Sure, so im going to ride and you're going to be my coach?”
“Yeah then you can compete on him.”
I rode him around the pen some more to cool him down I wouldn’t want him to get hurt on the first day.
