Chapter Six

I finished up my work at the stable. I had texted Chad earlier to see if he could pick me up but he said he had to go to work. So I texted Gus to see if he could pick me up. Surprisingly enough he said he would be right over. He even said he wanted to bring me to Silver Creek Stables. He said he wanted me to meet the Horse he rides.

Twenty minutes later Gus picked me up. We didn’t talk on the ride over to Silver Creek so it was kind of awkward. As we pulled into the parking lot I saw a really beautiful horse it was a light grey dapple. Those are my absolute favorite horses. Gus saw me looking at it.

“Hey do you like that horse?” Gus asked

“Yeah that is my favorite kind of horse.” I replied

“Well that horse is a one year old colt. The owner is actually selling him too. I don’t know what his name is.”

“Really can I go talk to them?”

“Sure let’s go.” We go and walk over to the owners who are with the colt.

“Hey this is Kylie she is Chad’s girlfriend.” Gus introduced me.

“Hi i’m Kelsey and this is my horse, Colt. Yes that is what we are calling because if we give him a name we will get too attached.” His owner told me

“Oh yeah Gus told me he is for sale. I was wondering um could I ride him once, because I am looking for a new horse and I really like him.” I exclaimed

“Sure You can definitely ride him.” Kelsey replied

“Thanks.” Kelsey brought his saddle over and tacked him up for me even though I offered to do it my self. I hopped onto Colt. I rode him around the ring he was absolutely perfect for me. I loved him so much.

“Hey Kelsey how much is he?”

“Oh um we don’t have any current intrested buyers but his listing price is $7,000.” Kelsey replied

“Okay I can not afford that but he is a great horse. Can you give me some time to see if I can maybe get the money together?” I asked

“Sure I will remember you but If someone gets the money and will pay now then I will have to give it to them.” Kelsey replied

“Okay thanks.”

Gus showed me the horse he rides his name is Ace he is a jet black gelding with a white spot right between his eyes. After he showed me he brought me home. In the car I had asked him why Chad does not ride and he told me that Chad just never really got that much into horses.

 A/N: I know I skipped updating on Tuesday and Thursaday but I am updating now. I will just try to update it whenever I can instead of certain days.
