I arrived at the airport to find that there were no direct flights to Dublin where the boys would be playing, so I had to take two different flights, not arriving at Croke park until the next day. It was around 5 o’clock pm when I finally made it, and people were already piling into the venue. I was surrounded by One Direction fans everywhere, pushing me up against the fence containing us all.

I really didn’t think this one through.

The only thing going through my mind in these past hours was what would happen when I saw Harry. I hadn’t given a moments thought to how I was actually going to get in.

I had texted Louis and Niall multiple times since I landed but they hadn’t responded to a single one. I was getting desperate in this crowd of people.

“Excuse me?” A girl around my age taps my shoulder and I whip around to see her dark brown eyes and matching hair.

“Yeah?”

“Are you Harry’s girl friend?” She asks curiously, her Irish accent not a surprise.

“Not at the moment. Not if I don’t get in there.” I say, pointing to the large arena that’s contained by small fences.

“So all you have to do is get in that building?”

“Basically, but I don’t really have a way in. No ticket, and none of the guys are answering their phones.” I say frustrated with my current situation.

“Let me help you.”

“Why would you want to help me? Don’t you want me dead like all the other directioners?” I scoff.

“Some of us are actually nice people. Listen, I’m going to act like I fainted, you scream for security and then run, alright?”

“Are you serious, that is a shit plan!”

“Do you have another idea?” She says, pulling the hood from Harry’s sweater back over my head so I was concealed by everyone. She gives me a slight nod of reassurance and then pretends to go unconscious.

“HELP! SOMEONE HELP SHE PASSED OUT AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO, PLEASE SECURITY SHE NEEDS TO BREATH HELP!” I scream out to no one in particular. Many faces look at all the commotion I just started, looking at the ‘unconscious’ girl on the floor. We were near the front so security quickly rushes over. I take this as my chance. They’re all focused on the other girl who’s name I didn’t even get the chance to ask.

I quickly move down the line, hopping over the barrier while all the security are watching the girl who helped me lying on the ground. I keep running until I reach the entrance of the building, hesitating for a second when I see two security officers walking away with their back to me. The squeaky door slams shut and they both jump, staring at the closed doors. Except I’m no longer there.

I hold my breath, waiting for them to walk away as I try not to fidget from behind a plant. I hear their footsteps fader and exhale deeply, wiping away my messy hair from my face. I have never in my life been to Croke Park and I haven’t a clue how to get to the stage. And I have less than a half hour before the doors open to the public.

I’m screwed.

-

I am a complete mess and all I can do is laugh at myself.

I’m at the point of breaking down from frustration and fatigue, but I’m not going to stop. I’ve made it this far, I just have to keep going.

Seriously, this is one of the most heavily guarded places at the moment, and I’ve managed to sneak past security several times now. I don’t even have a pass on me or anything, I’m just more clever than the daft people working here.
