It's dark outside, getting colder as the time passes by. You see the moon from your window. Something about it makes you feel lonely. You aren't entirely sad, just lonely. Lonely because you know you can't be with him every full moon.
You hear a howl in the distance; kinda reminds you of those werewolf-movies you used to watch as a teen. Honestly, the whole picture in your room looks like a scene out of a movie or a book.
"I miss you" you whisper to the darkness, knowing he probably will hear it but not fully understand it. So you just lay there in your bed, alone. Waiting for the night to pass by.
The clock turn 3:30 am when the door opens. You probably didn't close it well because it didn't take more than just a soft push from the wolf, to open it. Asleep you were, impossible for you to notice the redish-haired wolf standing in front of you. If it weren't for the heavy breaths coming from him, the whole scene would look more like an old photograph.
He stood there for a couple of minutes, in his four legs. But he didn't wake you, at least not his breathing or his strong scent. It was his green piercing eyes the ones that woke you up, the ones that interrupted your dreamless night. "Minseok?" He snorted. "What.... what are you? Do you know who I am?" Of course you didn't hear a "yes" from his mouth but something in his eyes told you he did. You laid there, watching him carefully, not fearing for your live not even for a second. He was your boy and you were his girl and that wasn't going to change, wolf or not.
It took him a second to jump to your bed, another second for him to lay next to you and half a second for you to realize that he wanted to stay with you, even in that cold night with the beautiful moon outside. "Does it hurt?" You asked, knowing it was a question without answer. "It'll be okay... it's almost over" You whispered as your hand slowly rose and started caressing his beautiful and soft fur. "You know... even with you being a wolf, this seems more intimate than anything we've done" He snorted again, liking your hand after that. You two laid there for minutes or maybe hours, doing nothing but caressing his fur as he quite enjoyed it. There was not much for you to do than wait, wait for the sun to take the moon away.
You could hear the other wolves outside, probably chasing some fairy in the woods or simply singing to the moon. But he, Minseok, he was inside with you, bonding in a way you were yet to understand. "Funny isn't it? A human and a wolf, fated to be together." Destined to be separated every full moon, and yet there you were. Together. Like the myths had predicted. "I love you Minseok, wolf or not, I love you. I'll always stay by your side."
