"Come along Raymond Ditmars," Uncle Monty ushered the lizard inside the large house as Violet lingered outside on the driveway, her gaze focused on 'Stephano's' wagon.
Fighting the feeling that told her to follow her Uncle inside the house, Violet took slow and tentative steps towards the vehicle, glancing warily at the front door, checking to see if Monty was coming back.
The girl stared at the cloth covering the back of the wagon, her heart thumping loudly in her chest as she mustered up the courage to take the fabric in her hands and move it to the side.
The eldest Baudelaire looked at the contents in the cart in confusion.
Suitcases.
It was filled with suitcases. Alligator skin, to be precise.
She opened the one closest to her and peered inside to be greeted with clothes.
Violet let out a huff of annoyance and opened the suitcase next to it to reveal more clothes.
The girl groaned as her eyes scanned over the rest of the wagon, all of the suitcases seeming to look normal.
Then, one in particular caught her eye.
Violet reached over and grabbed the suitcase and studied it. It was the only one with a lock and had various bumps poking every which way.
The girl brought her hand to her head, taking a hair grip she had placed in earlier out of her hair and into the lock.
She wriggled it around and after a little while, it opened.
Violet smiled in success and opened the bag, revealing rather odd objects: A strange contraption which looked like two syringes welded together, an empty wine bottle, the leg of a doll, a razor, several wigs and two needles.
The girl was given no time to investigate further as the sound of Dr. Montgomery Montgomery's voice came from inside the building.
"Violet?!" The man called from inside the house.
The said girl panicked slightly, closing the suitcase shut, quickly hiding it in one of the snake shapes bushes before returning the cloth back to it's original position and running inside to her awaiting Uncle.
