"I was going to be nice and allow you and both of your sisters come to Peru with me, but I guess I'll just have to settle with you and the baby," Count Olaf growled as he grabbed Klaus' arm and dragged both him and his little sister into his wagon

"I was going to be nice and allow you and both of your sisters come to Peru with me, but I guess I'll just have to settle with you and the baby," Count Olaf growled as he grabbed Klaus' arm and dragged both him and his little sister into his wagon.

"What are you going to do to us?" Klaus asked, a small tinge of fear plaguing his voice.

"Like I said, take you to Peru - was I not clear?!" The man exclaimed.

"What about my sister and Uncle Monty?" The middle Baudelaire child asked, bringing the child in his arms closer to his chest.

"Oh don't worry about them, they won't be a problem anymore," The man chuckled forbiddingly. The word forbiddingly means unfriendly or threatening in appearance.

Hearing these words come out of the psychopath's mouth made Klaus' eyes flash with worry as both he and Sunny looked back at the house, extreme worry playing upon his face.

"Uncle Monty," Violet softly called as she made her way down the last two steps of the stairs, her white nightgown brushing against her legs.

"Violet?" The Doctor asked, popping his head out of the kitchen doorway, "Are you alright, what are you doing up?" The man asked.

"I was just hoping for a glass of water," Violet said gingerly and the man smiled gently at her.

"Of course," He said.

"Do you smell rotten eggs?" The girl asked, her nose crinkling in disgust of the smell.

"Oh, that's odd," Uncle Monty frowned.

Violet shrugged, looking at him as she glanced around the room, frowning slightly when she didn't see Count Olaf.

"Where's Stephano?" She asked.

"Oh, um, I assume he went to bed early," Dr. Montgomery told her with a small shrug.

"Oh, okay," Violet said, unconvinced, worry seeping into her veins.

The two stood in silence for a small while before Violet spoke up.

"Thank you," She said.

"For what?" Monty asked, rather confused.

"For being such a wonderful guardian," Violet said, smiling up at him.

"It's my pleasure," The man replied, smiling back at her, "And I hope to maintain that title for as long as you Bambini and I shall live," Monty said, his smile widening with every word.

The girl smiled slightly as she sighed, taking a sip from her water as she watched Monty take out his pipe and a matchbox out before lighting the oak object.

The sound was unmistakeable as Count Olaf drove the wagon holding Klaus and Sunny away from Dr. Montgomery Montgomery's house.

The loud band echoed through the countryside and Klaus' head whipped around, his eyes widening at the sight of the herpetologist's house ablaze.
