I promise this story goes places. This is just coming back stuff. Besides that, there will be lots of flashbacks for a while.  Sorry not sorry ;)

They'll end at some point but until that point, flashbacks are here to stay!

Patrick wakes up. It's definitely later probably noon. Frank is silently sitting next to him, rubbing his hands through Patrick's hair, running it down his face.

"Good Morning." Frank whispers.

"Good morning...how long have you been there?" He asks, pushing himself up and stretching his back.

"Only a couple minutes. Sorry if I woke you, baby."

"It's okay...I need to leave anyways. I got rehearsals."

Frank flashes a sad smile. "I don't think you can go, baby..."

Is Frank jealous?

"S'okay, Frankie. It won't be awkward."

"No, babe. You physically can't go. I'm scared you'll have a reaction." Frank stands and pulls the curtain from the window.

Rain.

Pouring rain.

Patrick sits up quickly. He wipes a small drip of drool from his mouth and scrambles to his feet. "But..."

"The weatherman didn't see the storm I guess. You don't know how much I'd love to sue him." Frank shakes his head with a laugh. "But I got a bunch of very fun recipes we can try and cook." Frank rubs Patrick's back. "How does that sound, baby? Or we can just watch some movies and eat some popcorn..."

"I...I..." Patrick walks away and there's several Instagram notifications. When he scrolls further, he sees messages from Pete.

There's 3. 2 from last night and one from this morning.

Pete: Hey...It's pouring rain. I don't want you leaving, it's better to not risk it. We can move rehearsals to tomorrow.

He replies to the message.

I can still go.

He sends it out and kisses Franks cheek. "I'm going to go get dressed."

He puts on something causal, trying to look as if he isn't overdoing it. He puts on a really old sweatshirt. It's his favorite and most comfortable. He has no clue where he got it and all the writing has worn off. He slides on some dark jeans and some socks. He walks back out and hears Frank messing with pots and pans in the kitchen. He grabs his phone and there's a reply from Pete.

Pete: Please don't. It wouldn't be good if you got hives and burns. It's okay if we go tomorrow.

To Pete: No. I want to go today.

Pete's reply is seconds later.

Pete: Patrick, I swear...you're not putting yourself at risk.

To Pete: I use to do it all the time.

Patrick is referring to the dates they'd have in secret. Rain would always limit them and his parents wouldn't like hm to go. Patrick didn't care though, he wanted to see Pete. He'd sneak out to go see Pete. They knew. But they also knew Pete would give Patrick the shirt off his back to ensure his safety.

Pete: I'm not letting you.

To Pete: You're not the boss of me."

A small smile rests on Patrick's face.

Pete: I will ask Mikey to ask Frank where you live and I will stand in that lobby until you go back to your apartment.

To Pete: Bet.
