Luke is starting to get sloppy here.
He knows about Brendon before hand obviously so him asking Patrick in the station seemingly covers him.
The letter rules out Joe and Andy as well as one of the monkeys as they're not there and not in the way. Luke mentions where the two came from. Parkdale. The mention of Parkdale doesn't truly rule out anyone though . Luke mentions a gun. He mentions this is how he will kill, a gun. With a little thought, it'd be known that cops carry guns. Luke could easily get away as his gun is normal to have. Luke mentions a hole in his heart. This is up to interpretation but there's a light basis for it. A hole is mainly for: not actually killing Patrick, going to jail, and losing Jason as a friend. Though, he is a single man and you could mention he's simply jealous of their couple. Like I said, interpretive.
