hoseok and lana carried on their night, their glasses clashing and chatter exchanged.

"..and then i came out of the shop and into a different one since she was so annoying. then when i get to the clerk to pay for what i got, i see her again." lana was explaining her unexpected situation this morning at the grocery store. "like was she following me, or what?" lana almost shouted.

hoseok wasn't even paying attention let alone listening or making eye contact. he was on his phone constantly texting and whatnot.

"babe." lana called him. no answer. "babe." she called out again yet he was still so focused on the technology in front of him. "hoseok." she kicked his leg under the table, him resulting in clenching his teeth as a shot of pain in the form of electricity fired up his leg.

"what was that for?" he moaned.

"did you even listen to a single word i said?" she confronted him.

"yeah of course."

"then what did i say?"

"ummm... uhhh." at this point hoseok knew that playing dumb wasn't going to work and that lana was so done with him.

"why are you letting technology interfere on our date?" she told him. "i'm telling you something that happened and you're not listening. if you don't want to hear it, that's fine. just tell me. if you think i'm being boring, that's fine. just tell me."

"no, babe. that's not it -"

"then what is it? what are you typing at so furiously in the middle of our date that, mind you, we haven't had for the longest time?" she tapped her feet, waiting for his answer. right now, lana was beyond annoyed, she was so angry.

"nothing." hoseok responded.

"no, come on. tell me. is it a girl? are you cheating on me?" she jumped into a conclusion.

"no, it's not that."

"then just tell me. what do you have on your phone?" she insisted.

"i was reserving a cabin for this weekend. i wanted to surprise you and the deadline is in ten minutes." he bit his lip.

lana's face softened. she turned away from his eye contact as she realised what she has just done. she accused him of cheating when in fact he was planning a romantic getaway. she felt like shit.

"hoseok, i'm so sorry-"

"save it, i don't wanna hear your apology." he stormed out of the restaurant, not once looking back.
