"..surgery will be operated on you. tomorrow at 5pm, could you confirm you'd be there?"

lana was speechless. she whispered a quick "yes" before ending the call.

the door opened revealing hoseok in his work attire. it was late 6pm and she could see the exhaustion on his face but she couldn't hold it in. hoseok noticed her glossy eyes and then his gaze moved to the phone she held in her trembling hand.

"lana-" he began but was attacked by lana. she hugged him so tight, her arms around his waist. she cried into his chest letting out all her emotions. hoseok was bewildered but he quickly melted into her touch. he raised his hand to stroke her hair ever so gently like she could break any second now.

"i'm so sorry. it's my fault." she breathed out between her cries. she was tired and out of breath but she continued to cry. she wasn't done yet. "you always did everything for me. you wanted this baby so bad because you knew."

"lana-"

"no." she cut him off again. "don't say anything."

he did what she said and kept his mouth closed. he tightened his hold around her, refusing to want to let go.

right now, it was just the two of them. all the problems are forgotten. the world is forgotten. it's just the two of them in this place and they wouldn't have it any other way. lana was no longer crying. she had her head leaned against his chest with her eyes closed. she imagined life with hoseok and a baby - their own baby. it would be a life full of bliss and if only they could do it.

"i love you." lana whispered, barely audible but hoseok heard it loud and clear.

"i love you too, lalana." he planted a kiss on top of her head.
