lana watched as hoseok was being wheeled into the surgery room.

"he'll be okay." the nurse told her. "lung cancer at early stages can be cured with surgery 80% of the time. more even. so don't lose hope." the nurse tapped her shoulders, assuring her that the operation is more likely to be successful.

an overwhelming feeling overtook lana. she felt more than just exhausted. her mind was spinning, sweat was dripping down her forehead. she almost lost focus in her eyes but regained it almost instantly. her limbs felt weak and were giving up on her. she dropped to the floor, her hands in front of her. the last thing she thought about was hoseok before she fell unconscious.

the nurse that walked away heard a thud and turned around. she saw lana on the floor and quickly ran to her. she called for emergency and lana was soon taken on a gurney into a different room.

the nurse was sure she must've fainted because of the shock that her husband was going into surgery. she was sure that lana was just overwhelmed with a lot of feelings at once especially with possibility that hoseok may be in that 20%.

lana woke up on a bed in an unfamiliar hospital room. that same nurse was standing over her, checking her vitals.

"hey, sleepyhead."

"what happened?" lana sat up, she groaned as a headache suddenly attacked her. it felt like a thousand bricks hitting against her head.

"we got two good news for you." she smiled at lana.

"how's hoseok?" lana quickly asked, wanting the nurse to get to the point.

"i was getting there." the nurse playfully rolled her eyes. "anyways, he's okay. he's just out of surgery but he's still sleeping." when lana heard that, she took the covers off trying to stand up but the nurse pushed her down. "nope, you can't see him yet. at least wait until he wakes up."

lana nodded.

"second piece of good news. you're pregnant!"
