lana's eyes widened. the possibility of it being a miscarriage roamed her thoughts. all her pregnancies have been miscarriages, why would this one be any different?

"it's probably a miscarriage again." she slumped back against the pillow.

"i told you to never lose hope, didn't i?" the nurse reminded her. "how about i let you in to go see him? you can go tell him about the pregnancy?"

"really? thank you." lana said.

the nurse helped lana get off the bed and guided her to the room that hoseok was in.

she walked over to where he lay, softly placing her hand on his. his eyelashes fluttered like the wings of a gracious butterfly.

"lana?" he called out.

"yes, baby, i'm here." she kissed his forehead. "how you feeling?"

"tired." he said which made her chuckle.

"you're okay, hoseok. you're all okay." she told him. the ends of his lips curved up to form a smile, a killer smile that made lana die a little on the inside.

"really?" his eyes sparkled. then they darkened when he noticed the hospital gown on her back. "what happened?" he asked her.

"i kinda fainted." she said. "but i have a surprise." she smiled.

"what is it?"

"i'm pregnant!" she broke the news to him. his smile never seemed to waver. instead it got wider, melting lana's heart even more.

"oh my god! lana, i love you so much." he sat up a little and cupped her cheeks, pulling her in for a kiss.

"i love you too." she said as she smiled against the kiss they shared.

"come." he whispered. he pulled the chair she sat on closer to the bed. "i have hope that this baby will be the one. i can imagine us holding the baby in our arms. it was once a dream, lana. but now i have faith that it will be the life we will live in the future that is soon to come."
