"daddy! mummy! wake up, it's snowing." little hojung said, jumping up and down on the king sized bed.
lana groaned, turning over to hit hoseok on the arm. "make it stop!"
hoseok ran his hand through his hair before sitting up. "hojung, what's up?"
"it's snowing, daddy! can we go outside and play?" he quipped happily. hoseok smiled and then grabbed hojung, attacking him with an bear hug.
hojung giggled, the cute sound waking lana up. she sat up and tightened her hair into a pony tail.
"your mum gets a little cranky in the morning. let's go outside!" hoseok whispered to his son, hojung then giggled.
"i heard that!" lana yelled, throwing a pillow in the direction they escaped from. she leaned back, resting her head on her pillow and sighed. it wasn't a frustrated sigh but rather a sigh of relief.
she was happy that she was able to make a family with hoseok. hojung is the cutest little thing ever and lana wouldn't trade him or hoseok for the world. she hurriedly freshened up and grabbed her large coat, slipping her arms through the holes. she zipped it to the very top and put her hands in her pocket.
she walked out to the back garden to see hoseok and hojung playing a round of tag. a look of contentment made its way to her face. she was happy. sincerely, truly happy.
"mummy!" she heard hojung yell. "come join-" his sentence was interrupted when hoseok scooped him up off the ground and threw him in the air. hojung laughed out loud when he was caught by his father's loving arms.
lana joined them in the garden. hoseok was holding his son with his back facing lana, so only hojung could see her. she picked up a load of snow and moulded it into a ball. hojung put a hand over his mouth to contain his giggles but anyone could tell from his crescent shaped eyes that he was smiling. that, he got from lana.
lana creeped up from behind and ran in front of hoseok before tossing the snowball in his face.
"oh, you really did that?" hoseok chuckled with a smirk on his face.
lana nodded. "what you gonna do about it?" she teased.
hoseok put hojung down and just before she had any chance to make a run for it, hoseok picked her up off the ground. he leaned in for a kiss but stopped halfway and put her down to the floor. he knelt down and smirked. he began to tickle at her sides.
lana laughed loudly. she could never survive tickles.
hosoek eventually stopped. the three of them sat on the snow covered floor. no words were needed. they looked at each other with eyes full of nothing but pure love for each other.
"come on baby. let's get you ready for school." lana said. they went back inside the house, leaving their jackets outside since lana did not want to leave wet trails in the house she worked so hard to maintain clean.
lana put on his uniform for him, consisting of a white polo shirt, black trousers and a blue jumper with the school logo in the right hand corner. she held his hand and led him to the kitchen where hoseok was making pancakes. as if on cue, hosoek finished plating the food.
the family sat at the table and started to eat.
"first day of school, how are you feeling?" hoseok asked hojung.
hojung had his mouth full of breakfast so as an answer he put a thumbs up. lana chuckled, reaching over to ruffle his hair.
"alright, champ. are you done? i'll drive you to school." hoseok said. he put both their plates in the sink and grabbed their jackets that were drying off from the garden. he zipped up hojung's jacket and held his hand as they walked to hoseok's car.
the ride there was fairly short seeing that the school was just nearby.
"you go and have a fun day, okay? daddy loves you and mummy loves you too, okay?" hoseok was kneeling down in front of hojung.
"okay, daddy. i love you too." he kissed hoseok's cheeks before running off with the little kids.
hoseok stayed a little while to see hojung already making friends with a petite, cute little girl. and when the teacher brought them in to go class, hoseok guessed it was his cue to leave. the whole ride home, all hoseok could think about was how grateful he was to meet such a beautiful woman and have the cutest kid ever.
he had a day off at work today so he wanted to spend time with his wife. he got home and saw lana on the couch watching tv. hoseok took off his jacket and hung it on the peg and tossed his car keys in the dish. he walked straight over to lana and sat down next to her. he rested his head on her lap and put his legs up too.
automatically, lana's hands were in his hair, massaging his scalp ever so soothingly. she ran her fingers in his hair, feeling comfort as the soft strands glided across her hands.
"i love you." lana said, playing around with his head a little more.
"i love you too."
