trinity west
he looks at me, dumbfounded. "i don't know, trinity." my lips form into a smirk, "why? you scared you're going to lose?" his eyebrows furrow and he scoffs, "no, i won't lose. it's just-" i cut him off by laughing. "what?" he asks.
"nothing, it's just cute how you think you're actually going to win." i stop laughing when i realize his jaw is clenched. "sorry, anyways i gotta go, toodles." i salute to him and turn on my heel, walking away.
part of me hoped that he would call out my name, telling me that he would want to play my game. and that's exactly what happened. "trinity, wait." ethan shouted and i smirked, turning back around, folding my arms across my chest.
"i'll do it." he mumbled as he walks up to me. "sorry what? i couldn't hear you?" i tease and he groans. "i'll play your damn game, okay?" he answered and i give him a cheeky smile. "great."
"so wanna come over to mine after this and talk more about it?" he asks and i nod my head quickly. "okay, well i'm going to go get changed and stuff, meet me by the front of the school." he demands. "okay," i simply respond. "don't take forever though." i add and he rolls his eyes playfully, turning away from me and walking back into the school.
i take my phone out and go into my contacts, pressing on sierra's name and calling her as i make my way towards the front of the school. "hello?" i hear on the other end of the phone. "hey bestie, guess what just happened?" i exclaim and she laughs, going quiet then replying, "what?"
"so the game begins." is all i say and she immediately catches on. "oh. my. god, yay." she says excitedly and i let out a quiet laugh. "okay, well i'm waiting for him to get changed so i will call you later." i tell her and she says okay. "bye, love you hoe." i say in a sassy manner and she replies, "bye bitch, kisses." and hangs up.
i put my phone back in my back pocket and stare at the sky, admiring it. moments later, the school doors open and i turn my gaze to the doors. nate, sam, and matthew walk out, engaged in a heated conversation.
i look away, pretending i didn't notice them walk out. "well he was checking her out in health, and if they do have something going on then i'm going to kill him." i hear nate say angrily. "why dude? it's none of your business what goes on between the two." matthew chuckles and nate lets out a groan.
"because i don't want her to be involved with such a dickhead like him. she deserves better." his voice lowers at the last sentence and my heart flutters. "nate? do you," sam pauses and then he must've noticed me finally, because he yells at me.
i look up at them as they approach me. "how long have you been sitting here for?" matthew asks and i shrug, "i just sat down a couple minutes ago. i'm waiting for someone, though so," i trail off once i notice nate is playing with keys.
his eyes meet mine and he smiles at me, "do you need a ride home?" he asks. "did you not hear anything i said?" i tease and he shakes his head. "sorry no." i laugh and it causes him to laugh.
"no, i don't. i'm waiting for someone." i state and nate is quick to clench his fist at his side. "ethan?" he questions and i nod. "he owes me for saving his ass from this party we went to a while ago. so he's going to give me a ride home." i lie and all 3 of the boys nod.
"okay, well we're gonna go. see you tomorrow." sam points to nate's car and i smile, standing and giving each boy a hug, before letting them leave. i felt sad, watching them leave. i don't know why, but after hearing what nate said, i suddenly remember why i'm even doing this in the first place.
was i really going to put my feelings at stake? what if i ended up falling for the school player and he breaks my heart? is this worth it?
my thoughts are interrupted when ethan appears in front of me. "hey, ready to go?" he asks and i simply nod, following him to his black range rover. once we get inside the car and are already halfway to the dolan household, i realize my car was still at school. "shit," i murmur and ethan's eyes flicker to me then looking back at the road quickly.
"what?" he asks worriedly and i let out a huff. "i left my car in the school parking lot." he snickers and i glare at him. "i can drive you to school tomorrow. plus it can be the start of the game, yeah?" he glances at me. i look out the window, "i mean, yeah. that would work."
-
we arrived at his house, and can i say, the dolan's have money. i gawk at the house in front of me. "you like it? just wait till you see our backyard." he says and grabs my hand, dragging me behind him towards the house."before we go inside, should i introduce you as my girlfriend or a friend?" he turns around to look at me. "friend." i say reluctantly and he nods before pushing the door open and taking my hand, making me follow him wherever he goes.
he leads me into the kitchen and i see his twin brother sitting down at a square island that was in the middle of the kitchen. "hey gray." ethan says and his brother looks behind his shoulder at ethan and i. "hey, i see you brought another girl home." he smirks and i bite the inside of my cheek to stop myself from saying something to ethan i would regret.
"yeah, this is actually my friend trinity. trinity, this is grayson. i don't know if you already know him." he says, scratching the back of his head. "hey." i say calmly. "wait, trinity west?" grayson asks and i nod my head slowly, not understanding why it was so interesting. "wow." he chuckles and gives ethan a high five.
"have fun you two." he winks before heading off somewhere. ethan look back at me and laughs quietly, "sorry, he's," he stops, trying to find the right word. "weird." i roll my eyes playfully, "i understand."
ethan leads me upstairs where his room must be. he opens a door and i'm met with a dark themed room. there was a desk with a laptop set on top along with some other stuff. i see a guitar sitting on the edge of ethan's bed in the corner of his room and i walk over to it. "do you play?" i ask and he sits down next me.
"i haven't played for a while. i found it in the basement the other day and decided to see if i remembered anything." i raise an eyebrow as i hit a string with my finger. "no luck." he adds. "that's cool that you used to play. why did you stop?" i ask and he purses his lips together, "i don't know. i just wasn't interested anymore."
"so, about the game," ethan changes the subject and i set the guitar back down carefully and look back at ethan, studying his facial features as he talks to me. "i think we should go on a date." he blurts out and i agree. "where would we go though?" i ask and he rubs his chin, obviously in thought.
"oh, the amusement park thats like a 30 minutes drive from here? we could go there, it's open from 12 to 10 on saturday." he claims and i smile, "that sounds fun, we should do it." "it's a date then." he smirks.
