ethan and i were just laying there, cuddled into each other in a way of comfort. neither of us had said a word since ethan poured his heart out to me an hour ago.

we were just simply laying there, completely content in just each other's presence.

"we should go ice skating. maybe it'll help take your mind off things." i say softly, running my hand through ethan's soft dark brown hair.

ethan sits up and squints from the bright light shining through my bedroom window. "but it's not even winter time yet." he raises a brow and i laugh softly, sitting up in front of him.

"who ever said it has to be winter in order to go ice skating?" he smiles like a dork and pulls me on top of him as he falls back to lay down once again.

"i'm okay with just laying here with you. you help take my mind off things, that's why i came to you." he speaks ever so quietly. my heart flutters and a blush creeps onto my cheeks.

i lean in to kiss his soft pink lips, while my hands hold his cheeks. i pull away and ethans eyes are closed and the biggest smile was spread across his face.

"now come on you dork. let's go." i get up and drag him off the bed, since his lazy ass didn't want to get up.

"where are we going?" he whined and i chuckled, "i already told you, e, we're going ice skating."

i tie up my skates and look over at ethan, who was having trouble even standing up. "not very good at skating?" i smirk and he looks over at me with wide eyes.

"what? no, i'm good at it. it's easy, really. i just-" he stutters and then frowns when he sees that my eyebrows are raising, not believing him. "no, i've only been ice skating twice."

my eyes scan his and you could see he really had no idea what he was doing. "it's okay to not be good at something, ethan. there's no one here you need to impress." i motion around the room where there were only a few people, mostly older ladies and their husbands.

he mumbles something under his breath but i couldn't catch what it was and decided to brush it off. i grab his hand and help him stand up, since he was still having such a difficult time getting up.

i hold his hand as we make our way out onto the skating rink. ethan hesitates to step onto the ice and i laugh, tugging on his arm, "don't be a pussy."

"i don't fucking know how to skate and i don't want to fall on my ass and embarrass myself." he snarls and i just snicker, "get over it." he glares at me and i smile while he steps onto the ice and loses his balance, quickly trying to regain it.

he grabs onto me for support and i grab him, helping him from falling. "just follow what i do." i say calmly and let go of his hands.

i slowly start to move my feet in a side to side motion, looking at ethan the whole time. he doesn't move and i groan, "eth, you look more stupid just standing there than if you fell."

i grab his hand and squeeze it, assuring him that he could do it. he didn't say anything, but started off by moving his right foot to the side, almost losing his balance again.

"just keep moving. the slower you go, the harder it is to keep control of where your foot goes and you lose your balance. just skate with me." i keep a hold of his hands.
