trinity west

"i feel so bad for nate." sierra began as she grabbed her backpack from her locker. "he's liked you for such a long time. he must be so heartbroken." she slams her locker shut and looks over at me.

"i feel bad too, but i wouldn't want to ruin our friendship if our relationship took a wrong turn. plus, i have my eyes on somebody right now." i sigh, watching as ethan smiles and laughs while he listens to what his twin brother is telling him.

my heart throbs.

"earth to trinity." i hear sierra shout and i shake my head and glance over at sierra. "sorry i zoned out. what were you saying?" she rolls her eyes and starts walking down the hall. "nothing, forget it."

i ignore it and follow behind her, scrolling through my phone.
-
we eventually ended up going home and decided to hangout next week, since sierra would be busy the rest of the week. leaving me bored and alone, i decided to facetime ethan.

i play with my acrylics as the phone rings. getting annoyed that he wasn't answering, i cancel the facetime and message him, asking if he could come over instead.

i stare at my message for a while, waiting for ethan to read the message. nothing. i frown and toss my phone beside me on my bed and flop down on my back, groaning in frustration.

i close my eyes, trying to fall asleep but i couldn't. then something crosses my mind. i sit up in my bed and grab my phone, looking at the time and laughing at myself for being so stupid.

ethan had football practice today after school. i grab my keys from my nightstand and tuck my phone safely into my back pocket before i make my way outside to my car.
-
as soon as i park my car in the school parking lot i spot the football team running laps around the field. i quietly taunt myself for being so stupid and not thinking about ethan being on the football team.

i watch as my dad pulls ethan aside to talk to him. my eyes roll to the back of my head. he just doesn't know when to stop. i wait for them to finish talking before i get out of my car.

once i catch up with ethan, i noticed he's practically fuming. "hey dolan." i shove him lightly with my elbow. his walking pace quickens, leaving me confused. "what's wrong?" i ask and i hear him mumble something and i almost ask what he said until i heard my name being called.

i turn on my heel and see matthew striding towards me confidently. "what's up?" i inquire when he finally reaches me. "the boys and i were going to go bowling as a little treat for doing so good recently. wanna come?" he says as he plays with his helmet in his hands.

i purse my lips together and shrug, "i don't see why not. when is it?" "later tonight at 7." i smile up at him, since he was much taller than me. my height being 5'3 and his being 5'9.

he flashes me a quick smile before he heads inside. i turn around, oddly expecting ethan to be waiting for me. but when i looked around, he wasn't there. my smile drops. this bitch.
-
i glance at the clock. the time reads 6:47. i sigh and put my homework back in my bag and stand up, heading to my closet to get changed.

i pull out a olive green halter top and some black skinny jeans. i lick my lips as i pull out my gucci belt and smile in satisfaction.

i quickly get changed before matthew came to get me with a few of his friends. including nate.
-
once we arrived at the bowling alley i immediately spotted ethan's car and my heart started racing. hopefully, he would actually talk to me tonight since my dad wouldn't be here.

we walk inside and make our way to our tables that were already paid for. i smile at the worker who handed me my bowling shoes before i walk away.

i notice an empty seat right next to ethan and a small smirk forms on my face as i strut towards him. "hey." i sit down and he doesn't reply.

he simply sits there and stares at the bowling alley. "yo, dolan," matthew shouts, catching ethans attention. "you gonna play with us?" ethan nods his head, "yeah bro, you know it."

i scoff and stand up, grabbing my stuff and leaving to sit next to nate instead. i had enough of ethan's bullshit and wasn't going to fall victim for his little tricks anymore.

nate looks over at me as i begin putting on my shoes and he smiles. i smile back, still feeling so bad for the conversation we had earlier. i glance over at ethan and catch his head snapping away from our direction.

i roll my eyes and yell at matthew to put my name in the game and he nods, as if he already knew.
-
"yes! fuck you!" i shout and raise my hands in the air excitedly. matthew's dimples show as he cracks a smile at my attitude. the other boys sigh in defeat.

"how's it feel to have a girl beat you all." i place my hands on my hips with a smirk plastered on my face. "bet i could beat you in laser tag." sam finally says and i raise an eyebrow at him.

"bet."

he shoots me a devilish smile before we take off running towards the laser tag arena. we pay for a game and get geared up before heading into the arena, getting a little bit of time to hide before the game started.

i hide behind a statue, listening for sam's footsteps. he's above me.

this was too easy.

we hear the ring, letting us know the game has begun. i aim my gun above me and once i see the faint glow of sam's vest i shoot, hearing a short ding from my gun.

easy money.
-
the bell goes off once more and we make our way to the exit. "you were saying?" i snicker and sam growls in frustration. "what are you not good at?" "a lot of things." i reply.

we put away our gear and walk out, being met by our friends. "where'd ethan go?" i question, noticing ethan was no where to be found.

"he stormed out once you and sam ran off. maybe you should go talk to him." nate casually replies and i sigh, smiling at nate before going to talk to ethan.

sorry for the super short chapter but i just wanted to get something out for you guys🥰
