"don't forget that sierra is coming over in a few." i run my hands through ethan's hair as he lays his head against my stomach. "okay." i hear him whisper softly and i smile warmly to myself, enjoying every moment of this.
ethan got into an argument with grayson today and hasn't spoken to him all day. he's been stressed about it all day, and to be honest, i was too.
grayson wasn't the type to stay mad for long and the fact that he won't even let ethan into his own home indicated that the argument must've been about something serious.
"hey," i said in a hushed tone, "what did you and gray get in a fight about?" ethan shakes his head, "nothing important." i let out a huff of air, considering wether or not i wanted to push him on the subject.
i was eager to know what they could've possibly gotten in a fight about. "ethan, it's obviously something important if it's been bothering you all day." i state, knowing i was right.
he sighs and sits up, turning his body to face mine and running a hand through his ruffled hair. "a while ago when you and i 'broke up' i started slipping down a dark hole and thinking terrible thoughts," he sighs and looks at me, not wanting to finish the story.
"i wanted to move to california because i thought you never wanted to see me again." he stifles a painful laugh and i frown, remembering how i felt and suddenly feeling bad about how horrible i treated him.
"my mom was fine with the idea but grayson would absolutely not let the thought even cross his mind. we got into a huge fight about it then. but today he said he thought about it and now he wants to move. but i don't."
it's quiet for a moment, my hands playing with my bed sheets. "it's like grayson doesn't like the idea of us being together," he pauses and rubs his mouth with his hand, "and i told him that. he started accusing me of jumping to conclusions and it led to an even bigger argument."
i draw ethan into a hug as he takes deep breathes, attempting to calm his nerves. "it's okay. he won't be mad at you for long, he's your twin brother and he loves you too much to stay angry for more than a few hours." i whisper in his ear, running my hands up and down his back.
only shortly after were we interrupted by a loud knocking sound coming from upstairs. "it's probably sierra." i hesitate, knowing there's a possibility it was lillian. she's been spreading news around the school saying how she was going to jump me and i would regret ever laying a finger on her.
i doubt it.
but that bitch is crazy so i'm being cautious anyways.
we hear the door open and sierra's voice calls out, "i'm here!" ethan groans and i stifle a laugh and tug on his hair, pulling him closer to me and quickly planting a kiss on his soft lips.
"i love you." ethan whispers when i pull away and i smile. this kid made me beyond happy and even though we've been through hell and back with our relationship, i'm glad everything has happened. it made our bond stronger.
sierra walks in with a huge plastic bag in one hand and a bottle of vodka in the other. my eyes widen and she throws the plastic bag towards us. a bunch of movies fall out.
"movie night!" she exclaims and ethan mumbles something i couldn't quite make out but it probably wasn't something nice. "are we watching all of these?" i inquire and sierra shrugs, popping something in her mouth that i couldn't see.
