Talia Booker
Present Day
"Hey Talia. Long time, no see." Serena smirked, licking her lips and looking at me from head to toe. To say I was shocked was an understatement, seeing as how I haven't seen or heard from her since the night she came into my hospital room and gave me her number.
"Serena? What are you-" I began, but I immediately stopped talking when I realized that she wasn't alone. "Hold the fuck up...JOCELYN?!" I could've sworn Dean told me that he took care of this bitch and yet...here she was. Standing before me in the fucking flesh!
"Nice to see you again, Talia." She had a smug smirk on her face, and all I wanted to do was punch her in her fucking face.
"I thought your ass was dead!" Tevin said, pulling me behind him. "What the fuck are ya'll doing here?"
"I'm looking for my brother. You both haven't seen him, have you?" Serena asked.
"If I did see Sam's punk ass, I'd put a hot one in his head." I huffed and shook my head, knowing damn well that he really did put a bullet in Sam's head.
"No, we haven't seen him." I lied.
"Are you sure?" Jocelyn asked us, squinting her beady little eyes.
"Bitch, I just said we haven't see him!"
"No need to call me out of my name." She snapped, rolling her eyes at me. I was about to shove Tevin to the side and snatch this bitch up, but the sound of Bella crying stopped me from doing so.
"Y'all need to leave before I snatch that bitch up!" I warned them, turning and walking away.
"Okay we're leaving, but if you see Sam...can you tell him I'm looking for him?" I heard Serena ask.
"We won't ever see Sam, therefore...you should start looking!" And with that, Tevin slammed the door in their face.
"I cannot believe Dean lied to me!" I shouted, picking Bella up off of the floor.
"Calm down. You know Dean's lovesick ass would never lie to you. What did he say exactly?" He asked me.
"He told me that he handled her and that I'd never have to worry about her again! Sure, he didn't necessarily admit to killing her, but that was what he was supposed to do! And now, since I know he didn't...it's obvious that he still had some type of feelings for her!"
"Aye now man, don't go jumping to conclusions. Let's just wait until he gets home and then we'll ask him."
"I don't even think I can ask him, because if I do and he lies to me...I will probably kill him." I said. I was pacing back and forth, trying to think of a reason why Dean would allow this bitch to live. I mean, not only was she working with Biggie, Quanie, and Sam, she also ran into the car and almost killed me, Bella, and his stupid ass!
"Dada dada!" Bella chanted, repeatedly.
"Fuck your punk ass daddy!" I grumbled, sitting her down in her playpen. I took a deep breath and headed to the kitchen, distracting myself by starting on dinner.
*
"Baby, I'm home!" I heard Dean announce. I rolled my eyes and continued standing at the stove, checking on the roasted vegetables. I heard Dean and Tevin greeting each other, along with Bella shrieking excitedly. A few minutes later, Dean comes into the kitchen with Bella in his arms, and leans down to kiss my cheek. "My beautiful Queen and my equally beautiful princess. How was y'all day?"
"Good." I answered.
"That's good. I got some good news though. The doctors agreed that since Jude is doing so much better, he'll be able to stay here with us for the holidays."
"That's good." I said, bending over to check on the baked chicken.
"Okayyy...what's wrong with you?"
"Nothing."
"Bullshit! You only do this brief shit with me when you're upset about something. Now don't make me ask you again...what's wrong?" He asked again, sitting Bella down on the counter.
"I didn't tell you this earlier because I didn't think it was important, but I had a dream that Jocelyn came back and was plotting to destroy everything we've built." I lied, trying to see what he was going to say.
"Baby that was just a dream. You know Jocelyn is long gone."
"Is she really though? I just been having that gut feeling and you know my gut is never wrong." I said, looking up at him. I was giving him a chance to tell me the truth, but if he lies to me...I swear I'm going to go the fuck off.
"Maybe your gut is just paranoid." He shrugged.
"Or maybe Jocelyn is still alive and she's coming for us." I could feel myself growing angrier by the minute, only because he was really trying to sit here and play me like a fucking fool.
"Jocelyn is dead babe. She's dead and she's never coming back." He said. Wrong answer. Wrong. Fucking. Answer! Feeling the tears swell up in my eyes, I grabbed Bella from him and held her close to me, bawling up my fist and punching the shit out of him. "Yo, what the fuck!"
"You are a fucking liar!" I shouted, shoving past him and heading back into the living room. I handed Bella to Tevin and turned around, watching as Dean walked out of the kitchen holding his face. As soon as he got closer to me, I started throwing more punches on him; not even caring that Bella was just a few feet away from us.
"Calm the fuck down!" Dean screamed, shielding himself from my punches. Feeling arms wrap around my body, I was pulled away from Dean and carried into the kitchen.
"Chill sis, chill." Tevin said.
"He lied to me! He fucking lied to me!" I cried, trying to pull myself out of Tevin's hold.
"Baby...let me explain." Dean began, but I didn't want to hear anything he had to say right now.
"Fuck you! You obviously still love that bitch, therefore...you can go be with her! I'm leaving!" I yanked myself out of Tevin's hold and stormed out of the kitchen.
"Talia! I'm not letting you leave like this! Just calm down and let's talk about this." He said, trying his luck with me once again.
"Okay fine. Let's talk about how you lied to me! Not once, but twice! For what though? For your ex bitch? The person you still obviously care about, despite her almost killing us and working with our enemies! I can't think of one reasonable explanation for why you lied to me!"
"I didn't want you to feel how you feel now. If I would've came home and told you that I let her live, we would've had this same argument six months ago." He said.
"And you think that makes it okay?" I scoffed.
"No, I know it isn't okay, but I couldn't bring myself to kill her. I'm not a killer, babe. That was Jude's specialty, not mine."
"Then you should've let me go and I would've killed her!" I shoved past him and headed upstairs to the bedroom, slamming the door behind me. I refused to stay in this house with him, and it was clear that we needed some time apart. Especially knowing that Jocelyn was still alive. Ain't no telling what she had up her sleeve, and I wasn't about to sit around and find out.
