Serena Iona
Tears fell down my cheeks as I watched my brother's casket sink into the ground. I knew that I'd come back home and find out that he had been murdered, but I didn't fully prepare myself for it.
"I'm so sorry, Sam." I whispered. "Maybe if I wouldn't have left you, you'd still be here." I sprinkled dirt on top of his casket, before turning and walking away. My other half was dead and gone, and I knew exactly who was responsible for his death.
The Night Of The Shooting:
"Sam! What the fuck are you doing?" I shouted at him, as we hopped in the car and quickly peeled off. Tonight I was finally going to get a taste of Talia, the girl who I've had a crush on from the moment I met her, and Sam fucked it all up.
"She was setting us up!" He snapped at me.
"How do you know?"
"I know how Tevin and that slut bucket bitch he calls a sister operates! They were taking us to Tevin's warehouse to kill us, and I'm not about to die because you want to get a nut off!" I huffed and sat back in my seat, crossing my arms and pouting like a big ass baby. "I just saved our fucking lives! Be grateful!"
"Fuck you! You didn't save our lives, you signed our death certificates! You and I both know that when Tevin gets word about you shooting his sister, he's going to come for our heads!" I snapped. Sam knew that Tevin didn't play around when it came to Talia, and for him to make this reckless ass move really pissed me off. "Take me home! I need to separate myself from you until this shit dies down."
"Is that really how you feel?" He questioned, glaring over at me.
"Hell yeah! Believe it or not Sam, I really wanted to mend things with them! They were our closest friends and I wanted us to finally bury the hatchet and work together, but thanks to you...that'll NEVER happen!" I snapped, mushing his head. I knew he was driving and we possibly could've wrecked, but we were going to die soon anyways so whatever.
"You're overreacting just a little bit, sis. All we have to do is go under the radar and stay out of sight for awhile." He said.
"I'm doing one better. I'm going back to Jamaica for awhile. I refuse to die because you made a stupid decision! Now take me home!"
"Yeah, run home to mom and dad like you always do when things get tough. You big ass baby!" He spat.
"Fuck you!" I snapped, punching the side of his face. He swerved into the other lane, almost hitting another car, before swerving back into his original lane.
"Are you fucking crazy?!"
"Yes! Now take me home!"

Instead of going home to Jamaica the next day like I had planned, I wanted to see Talia before I left so I could explain to her that I had nothing to do with what happened to her. I should've done it the same night she was admitted into the hospital, but Tevin and his crew were camped out there for days. It wasn't until her brother and some cute ass, dread head white boy left her alone so I could sneak in and talk to her.
When I entered her room, it was dark, but I could see that she was sleeping peacefully. Ugh, why was she so damn beautiful? It wasn't until she woke up, clearly seeing me standing there, as she clicked the lights on and glared at me.
Please don't scream." I told her, holding my index finger over my lips.
"You have some fucking nerve showing up here!" She snapped. snapped. I figured she'd react this way but I didn't want us to argue. I just wanted to get in, explain myself, and get out.
"I know, but I had to see you. You may not believe me, but I had nothing to do with what happened the other night. That was all Sam's plan and if I would've known about it, then I would've given you the heads up."
"You're right Serena. I don't believe you! I don't believe a single thing coming out of your mouth right now!" I turned around to make sure nobody was coming, considering the fact that she was being loud as hell.
"Talia please keep your voice down. I don't have a lot of time and I didn't come here to argue with you. Believe it or not, I've been wanting to make amends with you for a really long time." I told her."
"And again, I don't believe you." Of course you don't. I thought to myself.
"Well I'm telling the truth. The beef between Sam and Tevin has nothing to do with us. There was a point in time where you and I were best friends. I miss those days, Talia. Don't you?"
"No, not really." She huffed. I could tell she was lying, but I didn't call her out on it. She missed me as much as I missed her, and that slick made me happy.
"I'm sorry you feel that way, but...I know a part of you misses me and I'm going to hold on to that." I reached into her pocket and pulled out a piece of paper with my number on it. "Here's my number. Call me anytime, whether it's to talk or you just want to cuss me out." I sat the paper on her lap and blew her a kiss, turning and quickly walking out of my hospital room. As soon as I stepped out, I saw the cute, dread head white boy coming, but thank God he didn't see me. He was too busy looking down at his phone, which gave me the advantage to run into the stairwell and take the stairs down.

I wiped my face and took a deep breath, knowing that Sam wouldn't want me to cry. Instead, he would want me to get even and take out the people responsible for his death.
"Payback is a bitch!" I hissed, slamming my fists against the steering wheel. "Tevin...Talia...I'm coming for you both, and I won't rest until you're both six feet under along with my brother."
