Why does high school have to be so damn hard? I wish Emmanuel didn't even say anything to me.  Who knew boys could be such jerks. Now I have to deal with two more periods of this. Good thing I have a free period...and so does Emmanuel.  I could go and find him! I looked around for him for five minutes and then I found him by the lockers.

"Um hi Emmanuel."I said awkwardly. "Hi" he replied. " Do I know you from somewhere? "Does watch where you're going weirdo! ring a bell?" I continued. " Oh yeah.....Sorry about that. I'm pretty sure you think I'm a jerk now right? he said. That was the sweetest thing I ever heard. Oh gosh now what do I say? "It's okay. Sometimes we say things we don't mean. " I answered. "Let me make it up to you. Are you free this weekend?"he asked. "Yeah..." I replied. "Would you like to go out for dinner at Red Lobster on Friday?" " Yes!" I exclaimed. "Uh I mean yeah sure". He grinned at me and said "Well then it's a date. Bye Onya" he began. "Bye!"I answered.

Oh my god Emmanuel Jordan just asked me out. Am I dreaming? And he knows my name. I can't believe that this is happening to me. Now I feel bad for ever thinking he's a jerk. But what does he mean by bye Onya? I looked at the clock and saw that the free period was over. Oh Crap! I got to get to class! I  quickly hurried down the hallway to my next class : physics.

When I got to class everyone was staring at me like was some new kid. "Good morning Ms. Adams." my teacher Mr. Peters greeted. "Have a seat in the middle row." I immediately started to get my things because unlike Mrs. Jackson Mr. Peters doesn't waste time.  For the next hour he introduced a new topic that we would be learning and we starting taking notes. Oh right I forgot to tell you that Emmanuel is in this class and the teacher mentioned something about a project last week.

"Okay you remember last week I said something about a project? Today I am assigning your partners." Assigning our partners! Maybe I might work with Emmanuel... " Your assignment is to create a jewel made up of at least two elements of the periodic table. You can use any one but you need to have at least two." he announced.

This should be easy I thought. I hope I'm not working with anyone I hate.  Then Mr. Peters started telling us who we would be working with.  I didn't listen until I heard him say " Emmanuel and Jessica," No are you kidding me! I started to panic who would I be working with. "And Onya and Justin." Who is that kid I wondered. "Excuse me Mr. Peters who is justin?"I asked. He pointed to a kid with an emo look and head on the desk. "That's who I'm working with!" I said. "Oh heck no."
