The Date

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! "Onya wake up! It's 5:15!", my mom called. Ugh my head is pounding. Wait I just realized today is Friday...and the day of my date! I'm so excited. I hopped out of bed, grabbed my towel and headed into my bathroom.

"I'm so tired. I stayed up past midnight trying to decide on what I was going to use for my project and I didn't even get anywhere. Well whatever I guess I'll start getting ready." I washed all my tiredness away and stepped into the shower. When the water hit me i started thinking about how today would go or how Emmanuel feels about me. What if this all blows up after tonight? I probably shouldn't over think too much. The day hasn't even started.

After my shower I started getting ready for school. It's already 5:35! Hmm what should I wear? I might just wear my black shirt with sequins and dark blue skirt. I'm gonna look so cute today! After I got dressed i went back to my bathroom and did my makeup. I put on some eyeshadow, applied mascara, put some blush and put on lip gloss. Time to go down for breakfast.

"Good morning mom, good morning dad", I said. They waved hello and then I grabbed some Vanilla Milkshake Pop tarts from the pantry. I opened the fridge, got the milk and poured myself a glass. I guess I'll just go ahead and get my Oreos before my brothers eat them. After I finished my breakfast I went back to the closet to get my backpack and went to the garage to get my shoes.

I got my wallet, car keys and my drivers license from the counter. I pulled out my phone and checked the time. It was 6:20. "Bye mom. Bye dad."i said. "Have a great day" they responded. Since it usually takes me a little over 20 minutes to get to school so by 6:45 6:50ish I should be at school. But school starts at 8:00. I still have plenty of of time so I'm gonna take a little detour to McDonald's. McDonald's is literally 10 minutes away from my house.

When I pulled up there i barely saw any cars well because it's 6 in the morning so I decided to go inside. "Hi welcome to McDonald's what can I get you?"an employee asked. "Yeah can I get the mocha with whipped cream and a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. And maybe some cookies." I replied. "Sure what cookies do you want?" 13 cookies, 5 oatmeal raisin, 5 chocolate chip, and 3 white chocolate macadamia nut." "Anything else?" "No that's it." "Alright your total is 16.84" the employee said. I gave her a twenty dollar bill. She gave my change and told me my food will be ready in 10. In the mean time another employee prepared my mocha and assembled my cookie box. Once the time was up i got my food and went back to my car.

When I got back to my car it was about 5 minutes after 7. I unwrapped my biscuit and blasted my radio while I was eating. I took two cookies from my tray to go with it. By the time I was done i was already at school. It was now 7:25. I got my things and headed into school.

"I still have a little over 30 minutes of free time so I'll just listen to music while I drink my mocha" I said as I sat down on the bench. When I was relaxing with my ear buds I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked up and saw someone smiling at me. It was Emmanuel. "Hey Onya."he said. "Hi Emmanuel."I replied. "Well I just wanted to ask you if 8:30 is a good time to pick you up." "Yeah sure." " Great see you later." "See me later? Wait don't you need my number?"I asked. "I already have it check your phone. Bye Onya."he responded. What does he mean by check my phone I thought. I checked my contacts and saw his name there. "He must have typed it in when I was talking to him. That sneaky boy". Then I heard a loud DINGGGG! Time for fifth period.

I rushed up the stairs to my next class: English. My teacher Ms. Little basically gave her lecture, we took notes and did some work. And for the next three periods it was the same thing. Lecture, notes, work:repeat. Lecture, notes, work and more lectures notes and work. Since I finished my work early I had 20 minutes of free time so I decided to listen to some music while I eat my cookies. Sooner or later the bell would ring and 3:00 would be here in 3 2 1 DDIINGG! It's time to go home.

I headed down the stairs and out of school to my car. Before I left i texted Emmanuel my address. I wonder how he got my number before I even gave it to him. That is crazy. Anyways let's go home. About 20 minutes later I was home. I said hi to my parents and then went upstairs to my bedroom. When I got into my room i went to my desk and searched up first date videos for the next three hours. Then I looked at the clock at the bottom corner of the screen. It's already 6:30 shoot! I need to start getting ready!

I laid out my dresses that I bought and then went inside the shower. After I finished showering and moisturizing I looked at the three dresses on my bed. I decided to wear the gold dress because when I tried it on I instantly had to buy it. When he sees me his jaw will be on the floor. I opened my drawer and got the jewelry set that I got from Marshall's. Then I opened my closet to get the black shoes that I bought. I sprayed myself with some Vanilla magic and then got my bag. I then retouched my makeup and then went downstairs.

Great it's 8:09. I went across the hall to tell my parents "I have a date with this friend tonight". They responded "Okay but be back before midnight." I wonder what's going to happen tonight. I can't wait to eat. I'm freaking starving. Then I saw a car pulling up into my driveway and heard a DINGGGG DONGG! "Emmanuel's here!"
