Audrey's POV:
Lonnie, Jay, and Carlos emerged out of the woods. "We got the firewood!," Carlos called out.
"Let's get this campfire started!," Jay exclaimed, setting his stack of firewood down.
I walked over to him. "Jay, I really need to talk to you," I said seriously.
"Uh, can it wait? It's getting late, and we really need to get this fire going," he said. I was afraid that's what he would say.
"I really wanted to talk to you now, but I guess it can wait till later," I said, agreeing.
"Okay, thanks, we'll uh, talk later, I promise," he said, starting to help Carlos and Lonnie with the fire. I walked over to Jane.
"Have you talked to Jay?," she asked. I shook my head.
"No, he wants to get the fire going, said we'd talk later," I told her, looking over at Jay. "Okay, we need to talk to Lonnie tonight too," she added.
"I know," I said, as we looked over where her, Jay and Carlos were, setting up the fire.
"Let's go see if we can find some things in our bags to make s'mores!," she said, lightening the mood.
"Yeah! Sounds good!," I said, smiling, but looked back at Jay before heading into the tent with Jane.*******Meanwhile*******
Anonymous's POV:
I woke up suddenly, and realized it was already the next day. And it was already sunset! "WAKE UP! WE'VE ALREADY BURNT ALMOST ALL OF DAYLIGHT!," I yelled, slapping him hard in the face.
"Owwww," he complained.
"Oh, man up!," I snapped at him. I looked around, trying to see how we even got up here. Then I saw the deer stand. Oh, yeah.
"Hey, how are we going to get down?," he asked, rubbing his eyes.
"Do you not see this sword?," I asked blankly, rolling my eyes.
"Oh, yeah...," he said, trailing off. I pulled my sword out.
"Whatever, brace yourself. This may hurt," I said, and struck my sword through the bottom of the net.
We fell to the ground with a hard thump. Ouch. Now that hurt. We tried to get up.
"You okay?," he said, stretching and wiping himself off.
"Yes, I'm fine," I said, a little annoyed, but at least he cared that much.
"What now?," he asked, clueless. I looked around.
"What do you think?! We lost them! They're probably long gone by now!," I exclaimed.
"Maybe we can get to a higher point and look out over the land to see if we can see them?," he suggested.
"And where do you suggest we find somewhere like that?," I asked, annoyed, because there obviously wasn't going to be anywhere like that near here.
"Up there, maybe?," he suggested. Drat. He was right. He was pointing to a castle up on a mountain, which looked pretty old, as it was overgrown with vines, trees, and stuff.
"Well, get your hiking boots on," I said in a dull, playful tone.*******Back with the others*******
Doug's POV:
It had gotten dark by now. We had big logs set up around the fire to sit on. Jane and Audrey came out of their tent with something.
"We got things for s'mores!," she called out. I loved s'mores.
"Awesome!," Chad exclaimed. The VKs looked confused. "Um, guys, what are s'mores?," Carlos asked.
"You've never had s'mores before?," Jane asked, sitting beside her boyfriend.
"No, what are they?," he asked, curious. Jay sat beside Audrey.
"Yeah, what are they?," he asked, chiming in.
"Only the most delicious camping treat ever!," Lonnie exclaimed, sitting between Jay and Audrey.
"What are they though? What are they made off?," my girlfriend, Evie, asked, still kinda confused.
"It's two graham crackers, which are your base and your top, then two pieces of chocolate, with a roasted marshmallow right in the middle!," Lonnie explained.
"Sweet! I'm game!," Jay exclaimed, already digging into the bag of marshmallows. Chad sat between Jay and Lonnie.
"Nah ah ah, ask first," Chad told Jay, taking the bag away from him.
"Okay, fine. Chad, can I have the marshmallows?," he asked in a sweet but annoyed tone.
"No, no. Say please and borrow," Chad said, smirking.
"Chad, can I please borrow the bag of marshmallows?," Jay asked, really annoyed now.
"Say 'May I'," Chad said, smiling.
"May I throw you to the sharks?," Jay asked, getting mad, and pointing to the ocean.
"Fine, you win," Chad said, reluctantly handing over the marshmallows.
"Okay, okay, that's enough," I said, tired of their bickering.
Audrey whispered into Lonnie's ear, "Four's a crowd," she said to her, because her and Chad were still sitting between herself and Jay.
"Oh, yeah, sorry," she said, apologizing and moving to the next log over, dragging Chad with her.
Audrey looked over at Lonnie and Chad though. When Audrey looked away, Chad did the same, looking at Audrey and Jay.
