Audrey's POV:
It had gotten later, so we decided to all go into our tents.
"Woah...that's a lot of pink," Mal said, blinking her eyes wide. "I know! Isn't it amazing?!," I exclaimed.
"Yeah, it's really amazing, not really my color, but I can tolerate it, y'all did a good job decorating," she said, going onto an air mattress.
"Aww! Thanks!," I exclaimed, thanking her with a smile which she returned.
I was glad that Mal and I were finally starting to get along and become friends, even though we had a rough start.
Now we needed to talk to Lonnie. I whispered to Jane.
"We need to talk to Lonnie," I whispered to her, she nodded, agreeing.
We both nodded to Evie and Mal, who nodded back, understanding what we meant, as we had told them earlier that we wanted to talk to Lonnie tonight, and give it to her straight. "Lonnie, we wanted to talk to you about something," I told her in a serious tone.
"Okay, I wanted to talk to y'all about something too," she said.
"Okay, Lonnie, we think Chad—," I started, before she cut me off.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you guys about!," she said, perking up.
"Okay, is everything going okay between the two of you?," I asked, genuinely concerned for my friend.
"Well, maybe, but I just don't really feel anything there anymore," she said, looking down.
"I don't think we're meant to be," she said, shaking her head.
"Have you talked to Chad about this?," I asked her.
"No, I was waiting till I talked to you guys about it, see what y'all thought," she said.
"Well, I think it's all up to you, Lonnie, it's up to the two of you and how you feel about each other," I said, and that was really the truth. Or at least most of it.
The other girls agreed with me. "Thanks, guys," Lonnie said, thanking us.
"I think I'm going to talk to Chad tomorrow, the sooner the better," she continued.
"That would probably be best," I said sincerely. I wanted to talk to them about Jay too, and have more than only Jane's input.
"I actually wanted to talk to you guys about Jay and me," I said, looking down.
Except for Jane, they all looked confused. "Why? What's going on?," Evie asked.
"I don't know. I just kinda feel like we're drifting apart," I said.
Evie, Mal, and Lonnie were looking at me weird, more Evie and Mal though.
"So you're saying that our friend isn't good enough for you?," Mal asked sternly.
Evie looked at me the same way. They were very protective of their friend.
"No, no. Jay's fine. There's nothing wrong with him. It's just me, I don't know why," I said, being honest.
Although, I couldn't tell them the real truth. They'd probably think I'm really shallow or something.
"Well, whatever the reason, you need to talk to him, Audrey. He deserves at least that much," Evie said seriously.
"I know, and I will. Tomorrow," I said.
"Good," they said in unison.
"Jane, is everything okay with Carlos?," Mal said in a kinda annoyed tone.
She was probably curious since Lonnie and I had already talked about doubts in our relationships.
"Yes, yes, everything is amazing! I promise!," Jane said quickly.
She looked kinda nervous, but I knew she was being honest. Carlos made her really happy. "Good," Mal said, smiling.
I honestly don't know what her and Evie would have done if either Jane or I had said something completely different.
"So, what about you, Evie, how are things going with Doug?," Lonnie asked the blue-haired girl. Evie blushed.
"Amazing. I never thought I'd be with a dwarf's son, and my mom would kill me if she ever found out, but I love him, and that's all that matters," she said, smiling.
"Awwww," we gushed over how happy she was. Was it Mal's turn now?
"Mal? How are things going with Ben?," Evie said smirking. Yep.
"We're just doing all of us, aren't we," Mal said in a nervous but playful tone. We looked at her questionably.
"Everything is fine. Everything is more than fine, it's amazing. I've never been happier," she said, smiling.
"Awww," Evie gushed, hugging her best friend. I was honestly happy that Mal and Ben were so happy together. A lot more than Ben and I were when we were together.
"I'm glad, really. Ben and I just didn't fit together, I realized that. I was content, but we never were really happy together, we didn't love each other, we didn't have what the two of you have together," I told the purple-haired girl, smiling.
"That means a lot, Audrey," she strained to say, because Evie was nearly choking her to death. "Okay, Evie, Evie, she can't breathe," Lonnie said, pulling Evie away as Mal gasped for air. "A girl can't be happy for her best friend?," Evie asked innocently.
"Yes, but that doesn't mean choking them to death," Lonnie reassured her.
"Sorry," Evie said with a small smile. "It's okay," Mal said, smiling at her friend. We all giggled.
